I´m from Ebeltoft on the very nosetip of Jutland. It is a peninsula with beautifull beaches, forests and landscapes. The house is close to the beach - so neighborhood is great for cruising.

Ok, sounds nice. I love Fuchs (as a Porsche-fan), they look nice on lowered VW's.

Thanks - what is it about european builds that you like?
I like the american ones with race deck floors and endless rows of cabinets and flourescent lights burning as if there where no tomorrow.

Gustav, yours is one of my favorite builds. Now that a year or so has passed, please post a new set of photos showing both the interior and exterior as well as your cars. Sorry if I missed it but what year is your bus? When I was growing up I was in Boy Scouts and my parents bought a new VW bus to haul us around. This must have been in 1972 or 1973. Prior to that my father had a '65 beetle and I fondly remember both vehicles.

Also, if you could please show the space between your two buildings. I have a similar set up with my new garage and I am finally getting to the point where I need to add some type of walkway and fencing.

I like the cabinets you picked up a while back, and the glass display case is an inspiration for me. Now I need to keep my eyes open for items to fill it.

I´m so glad you guys like it. I decided to step out into the garage and take some shots just as it is right now. Unfinished, a bit cluttered and full of cars. I took the old panelvan on a european tour this summer. Touring germany, holland, belgium, france and england. Its only now I am getting back in the garage remembering how cool it was to get things done in there.

Gustav, Just found your thread this morning and I have to say that your garage is incredible. I have loved everything you have done. I have one question though. Either I missed when you said the dimensions or they were never stated, soooooooo can you please advise how big it is. Again, you have done a fantastic job. Oh, and I love all your cars too.

It´s 12,5 meters long and 7,5 meters wide. The garagedoor is 4,5 meters wide

Thanks for all the kind words - When I initially joined the Garage Journal the amount of v-dubbers here were close to none. Don´t get me wrong I like US steel to. But I would love to see some "high-dollar" v-dub workshops.

I am not sure what you consider "high dollar" but I am in the process of my VW garage build. My collection consists of early watercooled with the newest being an 89 Golf Rallye.

The garage looks great and your vw collection looks like fun..
While I really want a porsche 356 outlaw, I may end up with a "outlaw" beetle instead.
I would need more power than the stock engine(s) though..as we have lot's more hills here in Norway
I know some guys here in southern Norway who are really into aircooled vw's, you probably have met them at meetings..

I don't like red in a shop. Looks too much like blood and I waste time looking for injured body parts. Well, I injure body parts much too frequently. But your red cabinet doors look very nice. I like.

I thought I would share this little gem with you guys. My friend and I went to a yard sale at an old now defunct Peugeot dealership. The owner died in the fall and the family sold everything. The guy went to work everyday even he was about 80 years old. The family told us that he didn´t sell a single car for the last 14 years. We bought a lot of cool stuff there. My friend found a really nice 1960ies Peugeot dealers sign and I found this lightbulb storage/tester unit. It was full of old lightbulbs, many of them in yellow colour (which I really like).

I finally got a little work done on the drywall. Mud and tape - next a little sanding and then paint. I can´t wait to see the walls and hang some pictures and stuff - I want it to be a lot like "Le Porsche garage".

I really like your use of glass. The glass doors give a really good view in and out that was a great choice.

I have clearstory windows in the garage and they have been good in summer but particularly so in the winter, lots of light and some heat.

Keep on "Postin" those pictures.

I dont know if it shows in the pictures but I can sit in my favourite spot on the couch and look into the garage through the glass door in my kitchen. Actually I can sit on the padio and look through the house too.

This is one of my favorites....any chance you could shoot a pic from that couch...one of my dreams to have a garage with windows that can be seen from inside the house...would love to see what it looks like.

You sure did - on top of the fastback. I bought it from a guy who started building it 20 years ago. He never finished it - now it sits there waiting for me to do the small wood parts inside.
