Been on a hammer binge lately, here's some that seemed decent IMO:
One piece sledge 2#:
One piece sledge 3#
skipped the above but got these three:
one piece 2# ball pein
2x 3# cross pein
2# cross pein

-2x1500g hammers look/feel solid for the price, on par w/similarly priced HF. I bought thinking I may turn one into dog-head hammer (looks cast but hardened/tempered)
-ball pein is solid though will echo another reviewer that weight feels a bit awkward (forged & hardened)
-35oz needs to be re-handled or slack filled w/epoxy. May end up returning though it's the best feeling one to swing to my taste/strength. (Cast and soft)

My angle grinder just isn't dangerous enough, you know?
edit: All this got here. Anvil's heat treat is inconsistent and butter soft in some parts of the face. Will be going back. Wheels look good, will update when I test.

For those curious, this is working amazing though I'm still waiting for the baking soda

I am concerned that Amazon notes this is a "frequently returned item". I'm also confused that, despite the 13 ratings they list with the star count, there are 12265 total ratings but only 2 of which are actual reviews. How can that be? Nevertheless, for only $8 I'll take the risk. Thanks, vwpieces.
I have something like this from a different vendor. They also sell them in plastic if SS isn't your thing:

This may help, only ONE review is from a verified purchaser and they gave it one star. Sounds like a lot of fake reviews from people who did not buy the product.

Say what?
You set your filter to 1 star only.

There are 2 reviews by verified purchasers, both 5 star.

FWIW I have a couple of GemRed angle tools. They're not great, but they're not ****.
I also have Bosch and Mitutoyo tools that cost 10x as much or more.
Outside the shop, unless I really need extreme accuracy, I'll grab the GemReds, because one of these days I'll break one.
And I won't care.

Having said that, I'd choose one of the better GemRed models than the bottom of the line, unless I was really going for disposability.

FWIW, I'm unfamiliar w/the brand but am pretty sure sellers game the review system by bringing down the score of competitors selling same/similar product in order to secure the buy box.

Didn't notice that, I didn't set it but it must have defaulted to that. Sorry for the confusion, there are two verified purchaser reviews:

Probably, and there are also sellers that pay people to review products or give free products for reviews. It's against Amazon TOS but they do it anyway, and those reviews will show as verified purchaser reviews.

Are you being Honest?
Scanning, scanning..... ERR!
HaHa, had to.
My wife dropped it off at the UPS store a mile from the house at about the same time she got the notice it was delivered.

Don’t know why it wouldn’t work. Even tried a new battery.

It would flash a reading, then revert to the error n
Message.

It wasn’t as nice as another one I have, but probably less expensive, too.

Real light plastic. Not awe inspiring, for sure.

Hope they don’t ship it to someone else.

First problem I have had in a long time.

The one I have (different model) gives an error if it's not in the vertical plane.
Like if you lay it face up on the table, or hold it face up.
