Hey all! Looking for a coating for a shop bathroom. It's 8x12, concrete was poured about a year and a half ago, and was sealed a day after the pour with TK Diamond Seal. I'd like to find a coating that doesn't require grinding. Walls are already framed and trying to grind now would be a pain. Acid etching would be fine as there's a floor drain which would make it easy.

I would love to put in an epoxy floor, but from what I've read every epoxy solution seems to require grinding for proper adhesion. Was thinking about potentially Hellfire. Either way, I'd like something I can mix a bit of grit into so that the floor isn't slippery when wet. What would ya'll do?

I would get a piece of roll vinyl flooring and be done with it. Cut it to size and lay it down. Some of them don't even need glue. Put some Vinyl cove base around it and its done :)

I used paint on mine. That was 10 years ago, still looking fine.

Like yours, mine was sealed a day after the pour, but I don't know what product was used. That sealer has worked to keep the main area dust-free, but I wanted something different in the bathroom, so I used gray exterior floor paint.

Yes HF would work. Sand off the diamond seal and etch it. Tight area, ppe is necessary and i would still try to ventilate.
However, if the floor is smooth and the existing sealer is still in tact, you could use our new Kera-Quartz Sealer.

This adheres like a Coval or Ballistix product but is water-based and has an integral micro anti-skid (not 3rd party tested yet for this).
It adheres well to glass!! Anyway, (1) gal goes 1500 sqft , one coat. You would need 3 or 4 coats. It applies like a wax, spray or splash on floor and place it with a micro-fiber mop. Super easy.

Good luck!

@LegacyIndustrial Hey - thanks for the reply! The floor is super smooth, but all of sealer may not still be present. It's been a couple years since it was sealed. Would it be recommended to seal it again prior to application of the Kera-Quartz?
