Expensive ... I saw that ... $500+ for a 1.5 car garage with the clear topcoat. And it appears no one has used them.
umm it lists on that website for 280$ and covers 400 sq feet or 1.5 car garage
Sounds interesting Dave.
My big concern about using an epoxy is the damage (burn marks) caused by welding/grinding, and the fading caused by welding (light). How does the urethane product stand up in comparison?
It's been proven over and over and over that 2 part coatings DO NOT WORK as floor coatings for garage applications. $980 and they want me to do the prep and application??!!?? We've got local companies that will clean, prep, coat (in any of 30+ colors), AND guarantee for 10 years for $595. Sounds like a complete scam to me, but then that's POR-15, high priced inferior products.

They are probaly not installing the type of coating you want, and I am of the notion that you usually get what you pay for, but I know from experience that not matter how good a product you use, it is only as good as the base it is applied to. If you cheat the prep, you cheat yourself from a durable finish. I have seen this procedure time and time again where someone buys a product and expects it to install itself! They DO NOT properly prepare the surface, and they DO NOT properly apply the coating, and then they get pissed at the product for not working. I don't usually mind because I can come in and fix the mess, for a nominal fee.
Anyway, just wanted to throw my hat in the ring and sound off. No Worries! Cheers! Is it sold in Canada? Where can I find that product? Between coats, we have to wait how long?
Yes, it's sold in Canada. I have a # for a distributor that I met at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market. He said that they ship directly out of Montreal. Give me a day or so to find it and I'll PM the information to you.
let us know, im going to be doing it soon also
