Gents,

I am trying to fill missing pieces of my 1/4" Craftsman ratchet collection.
Here is a picture of what I currently have...
IMG_0066.jpg

here is my list of what I am missing, please help me fill in what other styles I am missing...

  • New 84tooth
    Current thin profile
    Current Full Polish
    Stainless but labeled "Lifetime"
    V selector
    RHFT
Newish ****** finger selector, I think there was a thread on this pretty recently

If you can list more and possibly have pictures so I know what to look for that would be awesome!
I have also shown and easco RHFT and a v 3/8" that I am willing to trade on for the 1/4" Cman version.

You definitely need one of the BE and/or H-Circle open-geared model(s).

A Moore Drop Forge model (the so-called "Snap-on"-like ratchet).

And there's a version of that QR ratchet (fourth down on the left) without a QR...

WHat does the Moore Drop Forge look like?

What's up with the top one on the left. Looks like the 1/4" raised panel flex that just came out with a plastic handle stuck on it.

Just a hint.
Ratchets aren't for collecting. They are for getting work done. If you do the work, you have enough ratchets.

I guess I have way more than enough ratchet then... Does this rule also go for wrenches?

Wow that was harsh.

Does it really surprise you people on a tool forum collect tools or have an interest beyond merely utilitarian?

+1 ^

JAFE is the reason I have a nice collection of vintage Craftsman ratchets!

Thanks again buddy!

(In case you didn't realize why he posted a "random" shot,) Tool Pants' photo above shows an entire family of the MDF models...

You already have two of the rarer models (missing from my own collection): the Stainless and the U-Circle.

Ok I have about 140 ratchets I need to sell. Nobody ever read me the ruling.

What about the Circle Head that the selector is rotating the head and it has craftsman printed in color I believe, I think I saw it on ratchet **** thread but cannot remember details. It doesnt have a quick release.

I know the model you mean; it's very similar to the tri-wing you already have and dates from around the same time...

It does for me. I have one complete set of SAE wrenches and one set of Metric ones. I don't collect strays because they aren't useful.

I have a drawer full of strays that have been ground, cut, heated and bent for special applications. I can't afford to run out and buy specialized tools for a one time job. Taiwan and India made tools are good raw material when a standard tool won't do the job.

What's that flex head with the screw driver style handle? I have a LONG list of Craftsman ratchet's but I've never seen that one.

As lbgradwell mentioned, you missed this one (BE). But it is not very user-friendly by today's standard.

The other BE too - with the enclosed head and the sheet metal selector.
