So i was doing my normal Saturday routine with my baby daughter by watching powerblock on spike, and Trucks reviewed the Ikontech Mobile Lift jack. Has anybody had any experience with this, seems pretty cool, and would make working on my truck in the drive way a TON easier.

They got some pretty great accessories for them too, crane, engine stand, spring compressor and more. I'm really thinking about investing in this one. This one tool would essentially replace my engine crane, stand, spring compressor and add a simple lift to my garage.

yes but this is portable totally different lift.

ya, I can could on one hand how many times i've needed a true to the name lift. Plus i don't have the space for a post on the one side of my garage. But I could roll this out to my truck, in the garage, down to the street, and the accessories on it make it pretty versatile.

I dunno I would prefer a lift bolted into the foundation for my garage. I know it's not as portable but I'd feel a bit safer plus you can store a car above and park another under it if you need the space.

i don't have the height for a full lift, was looking at a mid rise lift and a max jax this would be better because not bolted down , and full under side workable on car/truck would have to see one in person first but the concept looks good

That looks too scary for me to work under.

What do you think about this one? Scares the, you know what, out of me. :shocking: http://www.harborfreight.com/3000-lb-tire-lift-vehicle-jack-95420.html

The Ikotec jack looks perfectly safe to me, we use jacks of similar design at work all of the time, regularly lifting up to 1000 lbs with a much smaller framework.

I would like to know what the dimensions of the ikotec are. I think there are a number of possibilities with this unit, the mobility is a huge advantage. One thought is a rotisserie attachment, another using it like a mini forklift.

As far as I am concerned, none of these bother me too much because I would never get under any of them without putting jacks below the car. Unless it is a proper bolted down lift, always use jack stands. These lifts merely make it more convenient (perhaps) to lift the car up to put the jacks underneath.

yeah, all of the videos i've seen it lifts vehicles perfectly fine with out tipping, but they always put jack stands under the car. I would be interested in them letting me take it for a test run at the shop to see how it handles my truck. I REALLY like the hitch attachment for lifting the rear, but i'm more curious if I can lift the front in a manner than both wheels are free to work on.

i would lift one side install jack-stand over to the other side and repeat....

looks like on a smaller/ lighter car you would lift the whole front/rear at the same time, also looks like these jack are not a new type been used over the pond for a while.

also just found this add on they have over seas ...
