Replaced the pressure gauge on the compressor with the oil filled one I had on the sgelf. Then was immediately reminded why I hadn't done this yet as I turned the air valve open and the gauge railed all the way to the max of only 60psi the gauge goes up to :(

Good news is I was able to verify the air leak was in the cheap pressure gauge.

New brake pads on my Tundra. I like how the front calipers don't even have to come off, the pads can be loaded from the rear opening. Tried to determine the weird, sort of cyclic, very subtle vibration in the front end that only I can feel. Not tires, cant find anything loose, Feels like when you have a very slow PS leak, but ruled that out too, so no joy so far.

Spent way too much time getting the preload right on a Dana 20 transfer case for the '69 Bronco project. I probably pressed the bearing off and on half a dozen times, but got it right in the middle of the spec at 5 inch pounds.

Then I realized my shift rails were boogered up.

I had to disassemble one of my spare transfer cases to harvest the shift rails but those weren't any better.

Also fired up the grinder and sharpened a bunch of chisels - Proto for the shop and Chinese stuff for the home garage. Dressed up my brass drifts while I was at it.

Setup a small work area and notched /drilled the new kitchen drawers for Blum runners . Mounted the runners-and installed the drawers .boy it was nice to be working in the garage again , it’s been buried with cars and parts for years , still pretty full but I got an area cleared . That will be a priority in the future since I’m going to try getting it back to completely workable space .

I replaced the trunk struts on my 2011 Impala. Not knowing and not paying attention to the trunk lid shocks, they wore out slamming too fast and injuring my finger. Not bad just a little swollen. Now the trunk lid is so stiff I almost need two hands to push it down.

Pulled out the MC and hydroboost to chase some threads into the linkage so I have an adjustable rod to get brake pedal travel dialed in. All back in now and ready to chase leaks when I go to bleed the system.

gotta weld on some seat track mounting points onto my WRX seats next so the wife has somewhere to sit while pumping the brakes for me.

We used to get a thing like that in the Garrison valve days. That's when you knew it was time to throw money at it.

Finally kinda warm enough to get started on the insulation project. Ironic!!
One sheet up, 25 to go. There will be light at the end of the tunnel, I just can’t see it yet.
Ironic, but true. Now I am waiting on things drying up enough to move some stuff out of the Boat House to insulate and panel in there. I get it.

I finally got around to re-wiring the aux. rear bumper lights in the Jeep. Previously I had them connected to the factory Aux #4 switch, but to use the lights for backing up at night you had to remember to use the switch. Most importantly you had to remember to turn OFF the lights afterwards, which I had forgotten to do or more than one occasion.

To solve this problem, I devised a wiring schematic using a 5-pole relay that can be triggered via the factory reverse lights. The way it works is during the day the aux bumper lights are not activated via the factory reverse lights. At night, the relay is triggered to activate the aux bumper lights via the factory reverse lights. The aux bumper lights can still be switched on independently via the factory Aux #4 switch also. These lights really help when using the camera to backup at night.

I didn't get a picture of the relay/wiring, but here's a pic of one of the aux bumper lights that I added:

More plastic than I would expect in a Ferrari interior.

The switches & vents are plastic, everything else is wrapped in leather, or aluminum.

They also put a "soft touch coating" on those plastic surfaces which turns to goo. That's frustrating.

It is actual leather, not the synthetic leather other car manufactures use. It smells amazing...and its 20 years old.

Spring is here in the garden state. It's really time to address some projects I've been avoiding because I keep failing. The kids have 2 trail master go karts and a Polaris 170. The go karts need clutches, one of them has a lot of idling issues. And the 170 is my arch nemesis. We had one great ride with it and starting issues since. I hate this thing!

Well, driveway, not garage. Free pop up given to my son from a neighbor 8 years ago. He's moved away, so now it is mine to deal with. I do want to turn into a utility trailer. The pic shows the beginning of cutting off the roof as it won't raise. The interior "wood" is completely rotted. After taking off the roof I advertised on FBM for free stuff and a husband-wife team took a few hours in the afternoon, with my help, removing the stove, heater, AC unit, fridge, microwave, toilet, and other stuff. Less for me to haul away. But the pile of **** has made a huge mess, even though much of is stacked in another trailer.

Installed a 3rd pedal in the 360.

Not fun working in there. The pedals were installed outside the car originally and the pedal box attached from the outside. Fastners weren't really accessible. It will be worth it in the end!

Ooohhhhhhhh........that's such a great mod for that car.

The rear panel looks good. Does it have a similar front panel in good condition? I've seen those have value because they are so easily ruined and near unobtainium.
