I need a long portable toolbox. Any suggestions?

I need a better box to carry tools for race weekends. I usually take some sockets, a roll of wrenches, few pliers, screwdrivers, etc... But I need to carry a 1/2" drive torque wrench, which is right around 23" long and seems to always need it's own box.

Most of the compact handboxes are only 20" long. When you get into 24" long boxes, they are usually over 12" in height and depth and hold much more than I need to carry.

So basically, a long toolbox that's not very tall and not very deep. A top tray for sockets and frequently used things would be nice, but not 100% necessary. Could be metal or plastic.

Any suggestions appreciated.

When on the road I keep my torque wrenches in blow molded cases that are made just for them. I don't know if I would want my torque wrench bouncing around the toolbox with the other tools while driving down the road.

Sears Used to have a "Carpenters" box long enough to put hand saws in, but not taller then a regular hand box.

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
Having 5 Kennedy carry boxes, a few of the Waterloo and most of the Craftsman flat top boxes, I cna report that the Kennedy boxes are much heavier gage steel. The Kennedy of equal size of the Craftsman will weigh easily 30-50% more. So if it going to get banged around, spend the extra money on the Kennedy.

Its also 30" box its bigger to accommodate a framing square and 24" level.

I made my first Craigslist buy yesterday. 30" Craftsman carpenters box, good condition, $15. I wanted a long box for pry bars and torque wrenches. Measures 8.5 x 9.5 x 30.

Anyone know what the small cutout on the lid is for?
