Why did you use a bushing instead of a Romex connector where the cable enters the back of that Zinsco II panel? A offset ******, 4X4 box, & a raised device cover, would have been cleaner & likely cheaper then the NM sealtite connectors used also.

The sub panel looks nice, just the way I would have done it……… Nice job!Why did you use a bushing instead of a Romex connector where the cable enters the back of that Zinsco II panel? Paid licensed electrician…is it fine? Why did you use a bushing instead of a Romex connector where the cable enters the back of that Zinsco II panel? A offset ******, 4X4 box, & a raised device cover, would have been cleaner & likely cheaper then the NM sealtite connectors used also.
including the incorrect bushing and receptacle box at the bottom with the LT?The sub panel looks nice, just the way I would have done it……… Nice job!
BTW! Glad you took the advice and called in a pro.![]()
no. shouldve been an NM clampPaid licensed electrician…is it fine?
It’s an Eaton panel.
It's the worst panel made today.Paid licensed electrician…is it fine?
It’s an Eaton panel.
Is this a call back item for the electrician?no. shouldve been an NM clamp
I can hear the response....Is this a call back item for the electrician?
I can hear the response....
"it passed inspection and is how we do it all the time. We are happy to come out and swap it for a service charge and parts"
No permit, no.I can hear the response....

@ps2cho can you get a closer/clearer pic of where the black cable enters the new panel?
May be a while lotta nothing here...
I was kidding hoping to make the OP feel good, because I knew there was going to be a "slam fest" coming.……… Especially with the LT and the wrong cover plate.including the incorrect bushing and receptacle box at the bottom with the LT?
Yeah, me too....Looks like just a grommet to me?
You got me too…I don’t know much here…! Slowly learning and felt good on the AC disconnect box but per this thread didn’t feel right doing the subpanel so got someone out, appears a few things were skipped.I was kidding hoping to make the OP feel good, because I knew there was going to be a "slam fest" coming.……… Especially with the LT and the wrong cover plate.![]()
Whole thing looks like a trunk slammer special, Zinsco II panel, lack of a proper connector, & cobbled together convenience receptacle. You got me too…I don’t know much here…! Question is should I email the owner and ask if this is to code then?
On the LT is that a problem or are you saying it would be “better” if it was hard conduit?
Is this unacceptable for $2200, or is this what I should expect for that price? These days with contractors I have no idea on pricing and expectations...The electrician has 5 star reviews, licensed etc...Maybe it was just these guys who did a bad job? Ugh....Whole thing looks like a trunk slammer special, Zinsco II panel, lack of a proper connector, & cobbled together convenience receptacle.

The sealtite is iffy, but it's mostly just ugly, the anti short bushing is not code compliant, but the BR/Zinsco II panel is listed just a bottom of the line product, the equivalent wanting a new car & coming back with a Yugo, the only thing that should be replaced on the installers dime is the bushing. Is this unacceptable for $2200, or is this what I should expect for that price? Show a pic of the area where the conduit is entering the meter…….. Right side.
Oh no, whats wrong on this side???
I believe your push in connector is backwardsEDIT: Owner just called me back and said that what they did IS to code and that wire does not require strain relief and its fine....
I just managed to get my 10ga wire fed through and used a push in connector. Is this acceptable method?
*update*** now the owner has basically said its fine, what do you guys suggest I do -- find the right size push in connector, like I just did for the new wire, or leave it as-is?
You're right - I found some Raco 4714 that have the right direction, I'll grab some and swap them out.I believe your push in connector is backwards
