For some reason I thought today was going to be crappy, guess I was wrong. Headed back to the Salvage Garage, going to clean up the front area, then get the forks on the BFF and move the heavy stuff out of the way. I want to start cleaning things up, then getting **** gone, I think the process is going to start slow, then pick up some speed. Hope I can make a lot of room over the next few months.

After hours of cleaning and reworking things, it seems to be working almost properly. There are a few things that we could not get to work right, I think we have a bad brake pressure switch. Anyways it will be fine until it isn't and when I rebuild the engine, we can do a complete rewire for the entire harness. Basically every connector and the fuse panel were all junk and you would lose connection randomly so the starter would not get full voltage. The alternator is still low, but it is charging, might have to address that sooner than the engine rebuild. I hope I can actually use it tomorrow, would like to move a bunch of stuff so I am ready for next week. Upended the plan for today, but nothing I could do about it. Then the insurance guys didn't do what they were supposed to do, so I don't have proof of insurance on Perk, going to have to send an email and call on Monday, I tried to look online, but it won't even show me my policy documents, really weird. :(

Over 70 degrees today, a bit of a shock to my system. I picked up some more casters and some other goodies. I love random stuff...

I am going to see if the forklift will start, fingers crossed.

This morning I spent some time at the Hill swapping tires around, so now the Maroon 3500 has the nice wheels and tires that were on the Blurb. I do need to wash them as they are nasty looking. I would like to try and get the front area cleared out at the Salvage Garage, I have a delivery next week and I need to make sure there is plenty of room for the guy to turn around. Fun stuff all around.

Very windy today, going to pick up some 80/20 pieces and parts, then going to look at another truck. Not sure I am going to buy this one, but I have to at least look at it. ;)

I am going to actually start cleaning up the front of the Salvage Garage, so much to do and so little time! I feel like the Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

At the Hill working on cleaning all connection for Perk's starting system, trying to figure out that intermittent issue as well. Then going to mess with the Tru-Hitch, probably drag that and the military forklift over to the Salvage Garage tonight. I would like to have all the tools and supplies at the SG to work on the hydraulics and electrical, the Hill will still need some basics, but not as much of the special tools. At least the weather isn't too bad, not 70s, but not 40s and rain either.

Going to be at the Hill most of today, trying to get Perk back together, need a solenoid for the starter and so far coming up empty. I think we can do a temporary retrofit and I can order the right one, need to find the PN as Perk is a glider kit, so my VIN does almost nothing for the dealership. I suspect I can get something close, so far no one could cross the actual PN over, so we are going to try by specifications and hope I don't have to change all the terminal ends.

We just got to the Hill, took the sander and plow off the Ford, going to change over the wheels and tires next. Just one more thing to deal with, at least it looks like we got the parts we needed to get Perk functional again. I am also working on the pressure washer setup, have to rework more than a few things, but it will make things easier long term.

Yesterday was a bit off kilter, but I still feel like we got some stuff done. Everything we touched had to be tweaked or modified in some way. I also need to get the basic tools organized, we were having trouble finding things more than normal. Hopefully by May I will have things squared away so it isn't as klusta fucky. looks like we have decent weather, couple evening rain storms and then Saturday looks like it will be wet. I have some driving to do on that day, so I don't mind the bad weather.

Still plugging away, have the pressure washer almost completed, need one more quick connect fitting, it is leaking pretty badly, then I have to try and get a different float valve, the one we added doesn't shut off unless you really pull the float up and hold it. Of course we had to modify things for it to fit, so the arm is not long enough to give the full leverage, but it is a PVC valve and everything seems to have some flex. I ordered a new brass valve, maybe that will help, if not we are going to have to come up with another solution.

Spent a bunch of time moving Lista drawers around, basically putting them back where they were several months ago. Frustrating to do that, but not a lot I can change at this point. At least moving forward they should be easier to handle because they are in cabinets now. My labels should be here tomorrow, hope to get the QR codes started, at least I will be able to start out slow, then ramp things up if it seems to work for me. My plan is to have the Hill ready for use in the dismantling of the Burbs and other trucks, making things more condensed as I go. Not sure how long I have my help, but I am going to keep at it as long as I can.

Another fun day, hopefully all my parts show up today, not sure yet if I will mostly be at the Hill or the Salvage Garage. If I have a deliver at the SG, I I’ll need to be there to unload, but the last tracking was yesterday morning and it was sitting in NY. I keep expecting and update saying it is closer, but nothing.

The Tru-Hitch needs some attention, hydraulic rams are leaking bad, the hoses are all just about gone, and the remote setup’s outdoor enclosure apparently decided it didn’t want to hold water out anymore. :(

Going to need a full refurb for the electronics, I have new boxes coming, looks like most of the internals are ok, just have some relays that need replacing. Should be fun, at least afterwards it will be more usable and won’t make as much of a mess.

Also need to rebuild the rams on the Muv-All trailer, for some reason they didn’t get any better, I let them rest for several months, jeez.

Did some maintenance to the maroon pickup and the Ford plow. Took an early day, this week has really taken its toll on me. Tru-Hitch is ready to be pressure washed, some of my parts showed up, more should be here early next week. Looks like I might not have as much help next week, but I will still have plenty to keep me busy.
