Have a 20x24 addition I put on my brick house about 45 years ago. T1-11 siding which is actually in perfect condition but I decided to vinyl side.

I don’t want to hand nail but shoot nails or staples. I my perfect choice I’d like to use a dewalt cordless coil or medium crown gun. All the rest of my battery tools are dewalt. And prefer to stay cordless for the portability of it, lots of bushes for the hose to get hung up on.

So has any one here had any good luck with dewalt devices on vinyl siding? What size and type of nails or staples did you use?

Guess if I can’t find cordless, then what is used successfully pneumatic? Appreciate any experience given Bach to me.

I bought and adapter for my air roof nailer to hang siding. I tried it. I either didn't have the hang of it, wasn't using it correctly or it wasn't working right.

I nailed it by hand.

One thing about nailing vinyl siding is getting long enough nails. Any time I see houses with sections of vinyl siding missing I assume the installer used the shortest most convenient nails, that barely got through the foamboard insulation to the actual substrate. One good windstorm and the siding flies off.

OP is hanging vinyl on T1-11, he could use 1" nails and be just fine.
