Eley Hose reel.post and mounting brackets

Hi everyone, Saturday I fabricated a metal post and mounting brackets to mount and install an Eley hose reel.

Eley sells a post mounting kit but it's m much more fun and satisfying to create your own solution.

In this version I fabricated two entry slots in the steel post so I could run the supply hose into the back side of the post below around level and up inside the post to the reel assembly.

This is seconds post and bracket assembly I have made for the Eley hose reel.



I will say the Eley hose reels and hose are top notch and a great addition to the landscape.

Looks good. Nice work. I've been thinking about a stand to lift my Eley hose reel that sits on the ground so I don't have to bend over to use it.

Hi Boosted1, Thank you it was a fun project. A wood 4x4 post would work and as Mike931x posted Eley does make and sell a post mounting bracket kit.

Yes, Mike they do. I understand the easy button. I was after a different look and I have a nice shop and the materials so I went the custom route.
