I have not posted too much here, but I did get several ideas before my garage remodel.

My garage started out as a standard 3+ car attached garage that you would typically find in the South.

I am terrible with photography....but attached is a recent pic as I get close to being finished. I hope to finish a few small details this weekend and post some more (hopefully better) pics..........

They look like the ClosetMaid "MAXIMUM LOAD" garage line carried by Home Depot that I've been looking at. Can anyone confirm? Awesome look :)

From what I can tell from the store display they're fairly solid metal doors attached to MDF cabinets. Check them out on the Home Depot website. The only real negative that I can find is that the back of the cabinet is that cheap-o box furniture ****. However, I could deal with that if my garage looked as nice as this one does.

I do have my worries that a closetmaid product wouldn't stand up very well to the garage, but they appear to be fairly well engineered. For the price, they should be...

Is anyone who is considering those also considering the Geneva cabinets offered from sears? They are the top "affordable" cabinet system on our list right now, otherwise its Lista/Moduline for the next level of full metal cabinets...plus they are made in the USA.

Countertop is a custom stainless top from Moduline. They mainly do car trailers.

I got the lead from this site.

Tell me about it. Cabinets took DAYS to assemble.

They look great and are a good value for what they are.

Great looking garage!!!! I have the same cabinets and they're very well built, except for the backs which are cheap. Got'em at Home Depot and for the price, they're a good value. I like the floor, I need to do mine...

Was thinking a white door front on blue skeleton and white interiors of my future cabinet/workbench project with polished diamond plate countertop and kick plates, but now I am thinking I am falling in love with this graphite color to use instead, not sure how yet but hmmm....

Here is a shot of the rear wall storage cabinets. My tool box is in a small niche behind the 9' double doors at the back left corner.

I don't think much work will happen on the nice counter top! Looks great.

Very true....but my friend and I did all the work on my garage and I do wrench on my cars....just now I have access to a real shop....so at my house it is a place to just park my rides.

I shot you an email, but how is the Vizio? Its pretty cheap for a 50" and has decent reviews for its price and for a couple of them in a garage, might be worth it. Looks nice ith your counter top :)

I shot you an e-mail. Mine is a 42" 720P.....build quality is good and for under $1000 at Sam's it is hard to beat.

For its location and purpose I would highly recommend it.

From a suggestion from this board, I went with Lift Master jack-shaft openers. I powered them from behind and for a cleaner look did not use the locks or sensors.

I also took the electronics from the standard plastic covered opener light and attached it to a stainless 3-spot light fixture.

Gotcha. Yea the 50" is not much more, and looks great for a "cheap" tv for the garage.

Vizio is contracted to sams club/costco I believe, thats why they are so cheap.

I actually engineered for a company that built the machines the circuit boards were made in for lcd/plasma panels, and its pretty funny how many tv's only differ by the branding on the front ;)

OK....How did I miss this thread??

Looks really nice. Gotta love the top.

I'd be so afraid I've spray some Brakleen on that TV screen though...

When you say you modified the wiring to turn on a 3 spot fixture, how'd you do it? How is it normally setup for lighting?

The Lift Master 3800 comes with a seperate plastic covered light fixture that is controled remotely from the main opener.

I took apart the light and removed the control board and transmitter. I then wired it to control a stainless 3-spot light I purchased from Home Depot.

Here is a shot of my garage door track supports. I originally had the typical lattice bar supports mounted on the outside of the sheetrock.

I cut 1" square tubing and welded a cover plate on the end. The square tube support goes straight into the attic where it is bolted into new 1" x 8" between the ceiling joists.

This along with the jack-shaft openers really cleaned up the ceiling of the garage.
