I enjoy working on small gasoline powered outdoor equipment. But I hate having to be bent over to work on them !

Is there an inexpensive way to get them off the ground and up to (temporary) bench height. I can "dead lift" them, but getting the up to bench height is another story !

This is the slickest solution I’ve seen. Essentially just a wooden DIY rocking ramp/platform. For motorcycles, but could be scaled down for smaller equipment.

I was going to say, motorcycle lift. Or one of those hydraulic trollies with a small ramp added on.

Could get a gantry with a chain hoist.

The inexpensive solution is one of those hydraulic lift tables from Harbor Freight - $249 for 500lb lift, $369 for 1000lb lift.

I looked at both of those and almost bought one, but ended up with a much more expensive solution - a tractor with forks.

I made this for my riding mower. Each of the four pegs fit into the holes in the arms of my MaxJax. The width is the same as the track of the mower. Once the mower is on the platform I use a ratchet strap to tie the mower to the platform so it's won't slide off and kill me.
The only downside is it's annoyingly heavy. If I were making one today I'd use 1"X10" boards for the tracks and position the pegs under where each wheel goes so the weight of the mower is supported by the lift's arms and not the wooden tracks.

This is the garage journal way.
Ya but now you need something to lift your tractor when it needs maintenance. Sounds like just the beginning of the situation. Being GJ and all.
