Anyone with insider info they want to share? (PM me if you do and wish to stay anonymous...) Also appreciate any search and/or notification tips. My Amazon Fu is limited – past search/filter methods have rarely produced a static-free signal.

Just less than two days away. Tic-tock...

I don't, but what I have done is put my list of items I'd buy if the price is right in my cart, then move them using "save them for later". Lets me do a quick glance to see if those items land in the Prime Day deals.

I think there are some typical brand promotions that are predictable based on prior Prime Days.

One that I'm aware of is $50 off $200 of a variety of Bosch tools. I'm counting on this one.

Know your price, in the past some items go up in price and then show a discount... Sometimes a gift is not a gift.

I have my shopping list saved. You can open your list and see if there’s anything on Prime Deal (it’ll also show you the price of the item when it was first added to the list - or it at least used to have this feature)

My personal observations over the past years have been the previous Amazon Prime days have been all "hype" and really don't have anything to offer to the GJ deals forum (aka: deal seekers) unless you are into buying big screen TV's, video games and electronic gizmos.

TIP! SAVE your hard earned money and do your homework on what you want to purchase BEFORE you press the "buy button"………… BASICALLY, Keep moving because there is nothing to see here!

After-Bite pen/sticks. Good for mosquito bites. Seem okay to keep in vehicle glove boxes and first aid kits. Sometimes a few pennies cheaper at Wal-mart if in stock. $15.97 (reg $20)

I've only seen a handful of items on my wishlist that have any real deals. The JBL headphones my daughter wanted are $20 off from their regular price. A few other knick knacks were an extra couple of bucks. None of the TVs I'm looking at are on prime.

Or even easier you can add Keepa to your browser extensions and see historic prices of the item you're looking at instead of running an additional camel search.

Ok. That's awesome. You have to create an account, so I know they're now tracking what I look at, but the graph on the page is slick. It also verified something I thought on one of the items I'm looking at... The price jacked up over the weekend, and then plummeted to the 'prime' price today. It's still cheaper than the day I added it to the wishlist, but It's showing a larger 'percent discount' because of the higher price the last few days.

Huh? I don't have a keepa account. I use it as a guest.

I have a few things I regularly order. I checked and they are all supposedly "prime Day deals" but cost more than they did when I ordered them about a month ago. So for me, it's not a good deal, lol.

I ordered these to lift SS sheet off and onto my plasma table. I have never used them but saw where someone else had a lot of luck with them. They are regularly $139.99 unless you have Prime, then they were $119.99 I think. Price works out to $102 before tax if you redeem the 9% off coupon.
Looks like it is $10 cheaper to buy a pair of the singles!

The singles have a coupon for $8 and a second coupon for 10% off 2 items. That makes the price for a pair of singles $92.78 before tax.

With that said, the reviews for the generic SEESIIs are almost all astroturfed. I'd rather buy the DeWalt Grabos for long-term reliability, parts, and repairability. Some Lowe's have the Grabo branded on sale for $99 each right now, and some Lowe's have the DeWalt version on clearance for $149.

I think that's the direction I'm heading. The updated version doesn't appear to have a prime deal, though. Got a birthday coming up, so maybe let my wife find them on my wish list.

FYI – found a super thorough review that describes the differences between the updated 3M Worktunes Connect (NRR 26), the original version (NRR 24) and the 3M Pro Protect (NRR 26). Volume control "lever" on the updated version sounds more ergonomic for my taste. I'm mostly a podcast/books listener though, so hopefully they'll be loud enough.

To get that price on the singles it shows me that I have to be a prime member. I also got an additional 9% off the dual set that doesn't show now. I paid $102 before tax for the pair. Do you have a link for the $100 DeWalts? Everywhere I look they are almost $300.

I have had the original Worktunes Connect since shortly after they came out - nearly 10 years ago maybe? They still work great, and I use them frequently. The battery does not seem to have degraded. I doubt an off brand would last that long without problems.

A different option to consider:
3M Pro Grade Ear Muffs (NRR 30) - $25
+
3M Premium Gel Cushions - $25
+
Noise Cancelling Ear Buds - $25 - $200

That setup would give you very high NRR from the ear muffs, and then double it up with the noise cancellation of the ear buds.

The 3M gel cushions are a must have IMO. They are extremely comfortable. They attach to the Pro Grade muffs and also attach to the Worktunes. I have them on both.

Energizer Lithium AA for about $1.51/ea. Pretty good deal these days...last time they were this price was 2022
Cheaper if you choose Subscribe & Save too.

CR123 also. The 6 pack is the lowest price since 2021, but the 12pk is still a lower unit price per battery.

Quite a few Prime Deals on noise cancelling bluetooth ear muffs.

Anyone have a favorite?

3m Worktunes

Unless 3M came out with a *new* worktunes, then they are not noise cancelling.
For noise cancelling, you want BOSE first and SONY second. There is nothing else worthwhile.
I did a ton of research on the subject a little under a year ago.

My Bose earbuds quiet my big 'ol Honda gas lawnmower to about the same level as my non-noise cancelling 3M Worktunes noise protection ear muffs with built in speakers. Maybe even a little better!
Bose EARBUDS, mind you. Not ear muffs. The QuietComfort II model.
I never even bother to wear my Bose ear muffs outside because the ear buds are that good.

But if you want to listen to music or TV, then you'll need Bluetooth range extending tricks implemented.
I've done a few, and can sometimes get BT range all through my front and back yards. But if I knock the antenna just slightly the wrong way, I lose much reception.

I've got an AM/FM transmitter for use with the 3m Worktunes and never lose reception.
But I sure do prefer wearing the earbuds when they're getting good reception. I need to fine tune their antennas.
And I've got a plan for that. Just need the spare time to finish the project.

So 4 of those can hold a small car up?

I bought a pack of 4 of those like 6 or 7 years ago for a weather station that takes 2. Still haven't changed them.

The Energizer Lithium AA are also available at Home Depot in a smaller quantity (16) for $1.62 each:

I'd rather purchase from Home Depot and not have to worry about fakes mixed in with Amazon's stock.

That’s close to my current setup: earmuffs over AirPod pros. It works, but it’s clumsy/slower and I yearn for more battery life.

Good tip on the gel pads. Thanks.

Bought a new robot vacuum that I've been on the fence about for months. Old one has a weak battery and doesn't empty itself.

Other then that a few odds and ends I was buying anyway but picked one that was on sale.

Yeah, I know—this isn’t exactly shop-related. But screw it… I like coffee. Especially after a gut-busting lunch when the to-do list is still snarling at me from across the bench.

Now, I’m not one of those monk-like pour-over cultists. I don’t have the patience—or the time—for French presses, hand grinders, ritualistic water dances, or scrubbing ten different pieces of glass and mesh after every cup. I want coffee. Fast. Strong. No drama.

So for me, it’s drip. And after years of chasing the perfect machine, I finally landed on this one:

This thing works. It makes legitimately fantastic coffee… for a drip rig… and more importantly, when something breaks (and eventually, it will), the parts are easy to get and easy to swap. No landfill. No “just buy a new one” nonsense. Real buy-it-for-life territory here.

Highly recommend.

But, of course, they are expensive as hell… Prime day makes it as cheap as I’ve ever seen though. $240. Worth every single penny.

Sorry. You're correct. The old ones are not noise cancelling. BUT. They are the really nice 3M ear muffs with little built-in speakers.

When I'm mowing, I don't want complete noise cancelling as I want to hear the string trimmer and mower if they bog down on something.

I stream music off of my phone when I'm using them, so I don't have any range issues.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 $149.

I have a pair of first gen AirPods Pro. They sound great, but noise cancellation is not capable enough to call hearing protection. Battery/charge life is poor, IMO. That's probably due in part because I always use them in noise cancellation mode, but mine don't make it to lunchtime without a recharge.

I've heard battery life and noise cancelation is better with the Pro 2s, but I can't imagine it's anywhere near the charge capacity of a good par of muffs.
