Looks to be from the factory has a number but my google didn't come up with much, some valve spring compressor??
But what are Cleco pliers?
Possibly shop made. Usually VG made tools the metals all look the same.like a Vise Grip version of Cleco pliers
Thanks. I tried looking it up, but most of what I found is a power company. When I did finally find Cleco's site, I didn't feel like dealing with the cookies ****.Cleco's are a tool to hold pieces together after drilling for Pop Rivets. Like panels on a race car body
before Pop Rivets are installed.

What ist Cleco? But what are Cleco pliers?
They also make little spring loaded clamps, like the ones in the second photo I posted above. I've got both styles, but mainly use the clamps. Most of my clamps are the shorter jaw style. They're very useful.
I could see how locking the clamp in the open position with vise grips might be useful, then releasing the VG once in position. The compact design of the original pliers is nice though.
I don't think the VG pliers are specifically meant for Clecos, but may be for something similar. That said, they may work on Cleco stuff.
