I'm having trouble finding a Ridgid R4550 Dado throat plate. Apparently, Home Depot used to carry it, but not anymore.

Can anyone lead me in the right direction to find one, or a substitute that will fit my table saw? Sites such as Ebay and Amazon haven't yielded anything, and they'r about all I know.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Should be plenty of generic ones out there.

Edit:

I usually cut my own. I think I have one cut from azek and one laminated with a chunk of engineered flooring.

While phenolic makes excellent zero clearance plates for good rip and crosscut blades, the nature of dado stacks means its a total waste as one is not likely to cut a dado the same width and depth every time.

Use mdf, a scrap of ply or even a piece of pine board.

A pattern bit makes quick work of them.

Yep, this is why I have 2-3 hanging by the saw made from whatever scrap looked best at the time. Usually I have one "close enough", but if I'm doing something that really needs zero clearance in a new size I just make a new one

Thanks; I'll give it a shot!
