Picked this up at a garage sale last weekend.
Has a "G" date code Snap-On F-10-HG breaker bar flex-head handle and a Plumb Ball Pein hammer head.

nice work... he got the head welded on straight! (y)

1945?

all the snotty welding ground down to sloppy

Point taken. That said, I'd post it on ebay with a price tag of $59.99 including shipping and sit back and wait for a sucker.

You missed all the snotty welding ground down to sloppy.

......a waste of two good tools

You guys are going to make me cry. :giggle:

I figured someone started with a tweaked or broken breaker bar (I think Snap-On called it a Nut Spinner) and decided to combine it with a broken handled hammer.

I really like it. Ugly though it may be, it is very solid and feels nice in the hand.

It was $1.

I would have spent the $ too if it felt good in the hand. Putting two broken tools together into one usable one is a great excuse to play at welding.

I used to know a guy who built "unique" PH type tools, so well done they looked factory, (just to mess with future collectors we joked.)

He just liked to show off his skill.

I love it! The knurling on the handle is as aesthetically appealing as it is functional, and that little neck before the shank adds flair you don't otherwise see on a ball-pein hammer. If I had run into this at one of my fleas it probably would've been a buck, but I would've gladly parted with a Hamilton for it, just for the novelty.

(Psst! You should probably edit the title. Snap-Plumb.)
Putting two broken tools from two of the best names in hand tools together into one usable one is a great excuse to play at welding and create something wholly different and unique.
