New Kobalt Pliers (Knipex Clones)

Been perusing Lowe's seeing what they're putting out for Christmas this year.

I was hoping for them to bring back the 125mm Cobra and 150mm Pliers Wrench clones they had last year.

They did--except they also added a Twin Grip clone!

And it's just $20, or $5 more than last year's set.

Does not appear that the Twin Grips have the extractor jaws like the real deal--but still, I love how Twin Grips adjust and these should be decent--I've abused the **** out of my Kobalt set--if I'm working with others, I take the Knipex out of my pocket and put the Kobalt in their place.




This year, I'll buy several--some as gifts, some for "I'm not made of money, but a few extra Cobras and Pliers Wrenches would be nice" in the various boxes I have. Planned to last year--they sold out quick around here.

Oh that's interesting. I picked up the set last year. I don't remember the price, but I think it was discounted down even from their promo price. I couldn't resist!

I've only used them lightly, but have no complaints. They're quite serviceable. Not as smooth as Knipex but work well enough. A great bargain.

Looks like an enticing holiday promo set. They went fast around me as last year, I assume this year will be the same.

Good find! I bought a bunch of these last year on clearance for $4 a pair:



These a decent for the money. No Knipex, but I have a set in each roadside bag for the cars and I’ve given them away to friends.

I’ll check out the new ones.

I bought a couple last year after the holidays on clearance too. I’m not too sure how they sold prior to Xmas.
