Which Dewalt Driver Package?

I'm planning to buy a 20v MAX XR drill/driver tomorrow but the included battery options are somewhat overwhelming... I want to keep it small and light so I've narrowed down my choices to the DCD800D2 for $183 and the DCD800E2 for $247, a $64 difference. Are the Powerstack batteries worth the additional cost over the 20v MAX batteries? With that kind of price difference, I could even buy the DCD800D2 package and a single power stack battery and still pay less than the package containing 2 Powerstacks. Thoughts?

I have red and yellow, but prefer yellow.

I like the size of the Powerstack batteries. I typically reach for the Powerstack over larger, higher amp batteries.
Nice to have a second battery though, if you’re a heavy user. I find that except for battery hogs like angle grinders, recharging a battery doesn’t really slow me down much when using drivers or impact wrenches.

I have nearly every dewalt battery made, and most in multiples. The powerstack batteries haven't come off my drill or impact driver since I got them (the batteries). In my opinion, they are the perfect size/weight/power for those two tools. The 2 AH non powerstack batteries don't have enough capacity to be useful for much else, so you're not really gaining anything by going that route except saving a few bucks. And for a tool as fundamental/critical as a drill, I don't see the savings amounting to anything at all over what will likely be many years of use.

I really like Yellow that's why I use Pennzoil.

I'd get the Powerstacks , and hunt around for deals on more powerstack batteries, or additional tools you may not have with a battery promo

I love the powerstacks for the smaller tools, great trade off in weight, especially the compact drill.
