I've found my diamond hones from my knife sharpener useful in the garage so ordering set for use in the garage:

These just came in. All looks good...I should've grabbed two sets of the thin hones since there are some grits I'm missing from my knife sharpener (the 180 is gnarly); sold out now. The 1500 feels less grabby than the 2000 so maybe those are mis-printed.

That link fails for me... Try this

Williams JHWS-52EHA 1/2-Inch Drive Enclosed Head Ratchet with Chrome Finish, Single Pawl Ratchet Design, 36 Tooth Gear Engagement - 10-1/4 Inch

Currently over 50 percent off so like $27.

If you like Williams ratchets, a good deal.

Unfortunately, these look to be used/refurbished

cheaper than piecing it together:

first time using these round style inserts but I like them. I think the insert screws could use a drop of thread sealant....mine came loose when I induced chatter & other holders I've had have that flex type loc-tite.

Enough of this tariff nonsense.

I know this kit probably does not appeal to this group but this is a good deal on a decent kit for the rest of the world. I keep Crescent kits on my boat and in my truck. Have had them for years and they are holding up fine.

It let me put in an order at the sale price yesterday even though it said "Temporarily Out of Stock". I have not received a shipping notification yet.

Long last my set is on the way, 3 weeks later.

Thats dissapointing.... I have one on order, but hasn't arrived yet. A couple of week out. Wonder if it will be cancelled or if I'll end up returning it, or perhaps I should just cancel myself. Any more details?

Tried to get a replacement but they were out

Talked to an Amazon Agent, to report the seller. Wound up getting to keep the ratchet

20% off coupon on the page makes it $146, bringing it down to the Amazon DE shipped price but without the shipping time.

I’m not saying that it’s the best value, it is Stahlwille after all. But if you are into the brand you might find it temping. I did. I did not bite though. But if I have any weak moments in the next few days, there is still time.

Out of curiosity, what was wrong with the ratchets?

Wrong from a functional standpoint?

Arguably nothing. Ratchet operates.

Wrong from a purchase standpoint?

(And understand this is my first Williams ratchet, and maybe its just how it is)
- Faceplate beat up (cosmetic)
- Blue Loctite on threads
- Inside was filled with 30W oil

If this was sold as Used or Refurbished I would have had no problem

Understandable, I was just curious. Car oil in a ratchet is pretty bad.

The faceplate looks factory to me with the black covering the scratches and not being bare metal. Williams puts blue Loctite on the threads. They don’t use 30W oil as far as I know, but I have some Williams with black lubricant. I’m not able to tell what it is exactly. The Anvil doesn’t look like it has ever seen a socket. I don’t know. It sure is clean looking.

Didn’t look used to me, either.

Not a polished showpiece, but seems representative of an industrial tool, and a new one at that.

YMMV, but I purchased these a while back on Amazon a few dollars more and received Lindstrom 8141 (which are currently $59 on Amazon)

Link to what I believe you will receive (no promises): https://www.amazon.com/Lindstrom-Flush-Ergonomic-Small-Cutter/dp/B0058EDANC/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Believe there may one be one set left at this price.

I received the Lindstrom 8141 in a box, very nice! Thanks for posting dcg1

That’s pretty cool. Earlier this year I got a set of Gedore engineer hammers with the induction hardened tips. I’m not sure that feature is really necessary, just looked cool and didn’t add much to the cost. I already had one in 500g too but whatever I just pulled the trigger on this set.

hmm....do they make the inverse for hex heads?
Grip edge does I think... I like my GripEdge stuff, but very expensive....

For this, I own the GearWrench Bolt Biter 84784

This is a 28 piece set.

Bolt Extractor Set, Standard Socket Count/Style (28) 7-Point, Standard Socket Style/Size Standard 7-Point: 1/4 in, 10 mm, 11 mm, 11/16 in, 12 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 17 mm, 3/8, 7 mm, 8 mm, 9/16 in,

They have what they call "minus" sizes, so as an example they have a 1/4 AND a 1/4- in case you need something just a little smaller because the head is rounded and you need something just a little smaller.

Darn it I don’t have money for that right now. Why did you tell me about that set? I just fought two rusted bolts on a snowblower guide and could have used that.

lol, yeah I guess a regular bolt extractor is precisely that tool in reverse (twisted faces).

I found this arbor that's mislabeled for a good price (actual morse taper 2 to weldon shank w/coolant feed for annular cutters by the looks of it):

Lots of options on this type of RBRT. No need to pay grip edge or Gearwrench prices in my opinion.
Amen. There's IRWIN brand extractor sockets (auto parts stores etc) and the USA made Turbo Sockets also. if you want better quality. Amazon has plenty of Asian made sets also but no idea of the quality.

I bought an import set a while back based on a project farm review. I've only used it once and failed to remove the bolt....didn't fault the tool and figured it's a numbers game.
