I didn't see any complaints about OTC's tool product quality. There was a complaint about the case breaking, and someone received an obviously used kit, but nothing about the parts breaking, screw stripping, etc. unlke the HF version.

This doesn't represent a failing product and some issues are probably user error. Points to HF that it can easily be returned in 90 days and extended warranty can likely be purchased if desired.

OTC can be returned in 30 days to Amazon and they were not forthcoming with their warranty if there is one, you have to request it. There is an extended warranty available.

If you need to attach 5/8 thread accessories Maddox isn't for you, however a comment Oct 17, 2021 says "This has the 5/8 thread pitch which fits most auto parts rental attachments". Comment Aug. 10, 2024 "I have since picked up a 5/8" x 18tpi x 36 threaded rod and made an extension for it...".

There was a ITC coupon to buy it for $74.99 that just expired and I do have wheel hubs I need to remove. When its on sale again I'll buy it.

LMAO! i just ordered a second one this morning for a relative. coupon still works. I decided to actually take mine out of the box. FYI, before you do, you better get a picture becuase it doesnt fit back inside the plastic case. If the saw motor gets set into the impression, the bar hangs outside the case 1/2". It just gets just thrown inside the case. For $21 .00 what would you expect though?

Probably the best rotary drill/hammer on the market, on sale at a price that is close to what CPO sells a refurb at. Lowest price its been in along time.
I've had one for years and is probably the tool I've put through the worst situations and it just keeps on going! They sell and attachment thatlets you use smaller bits (SDS Plus, I think they are called), which makes it more versatile.

I was able to print on the shrink tube I ordered but needed to drill a small hole on the cartridge to clear a boss on the label maker. No big deal and I may eventually just remove the boss on the label maker if I don't find an exact fit before then. The Li-Ion battery was completely dead on arrival so dunno if that may point to sitting on the shelf for a long time.
