Picked this level for $3.50 @ an estate sale yesterday.

Can't find much information about the Exact Level & Tool Co.

It feels well made and has some heft to it. Here a few pics.

I saw a little bit about the company on the internet basically they stopped making tools around 1985. But what I was looking for was are they decent tool...or a hidden gem?

I did see the 48 inch level story on GJ but wasn't sure if it was the same company or another with the same name.

I'm trapped at the hospital waiting for my son to get out surgery/recovery. This means I can't grab the level I bought to have one for a job 30+ years ago.

Not a high value collectible.

Thank you all for the resonses but I will put it to use just felt well made with some heft to it but not a lot information.

Lol just realized that the tree branches and leaves are reflected in the glass on the center and left ports. Looks like they are broken.

If it passes the “level” test, probably good to use. Most aluminum levels don’t seem to be collectible.

A few older metal ones, and some wooden ones, are highly collectible and expensive.

The EL&T is a casting and is made to last and my Stanley is an extrusion that is far lighter. No where as rigid also.
