Oh, boy! I get to reset every clock in the facility!

Enough already. Just stop it. Knock it off. You can't change time (time can change you).

If you want to get up an hour earlier in the summer, talk to your boss. Don't ram it down my throat.

PS: When Ben Franklin so famously proposed something like Daylight Savings Time, he was writing satire.

Get off my lawn!
If the chuckleheads back east would just sign the paper we could be on Daylight time all year long. That would just be grand.

Wife’s relatives went home today. Cut some 2x6s for my lathe bench. Sold an item on Kijiji. Cousin’s husband and friend came over for a visit, bs’ed had a beer. Worked on bench some more. Old school buddy stopped in had a garage beer with him as well. Walked the dog, had supper, locked up the garage and now doing GJ and watching ZZ Top live in Texas. Pretty quite Sunday after a pretty hectic week.
We don’t touch our clocks we are lucky enough to just let it ride.

While it doesn't look like much progress, it was a bunch of work but the dually hubs and rotors are ready to go back on. Getting the old seals out were a M@$#!&^% Everything is cleaned up, axles bolts ect.. I'll do the parking brakes today, install the hubs and axles then wait for new caliper brackets and pins to arrive Wednesday.

All the stations I care about are in the same direction. I used a similar site to get direction and distance.
I like the Rabbitears website for locating TV antennas. The TV Fools site was quite stale.

Here is a search for Josephine TX which is centered in the map. I searched a 110 mile radius and assumed the antenna is 15' above grade. The data suggests that the most likely cluster of usable signals is south-west of you. The channel listing format is virtual (real) meaning that the first number is the display channel while the real number is the RF frequency. VFH-low is channels 2-6, VHF-high is channels 7-13, and UHF is channels 14-36.

Most of the south-west channels are UHF while it looks like you have the chance to pick up 2 VHF channels.

Knowing the frequencies available determines the type of antenna you need.

I installed an Antennas Direct DB8e UHF antenna and its VHF dipole add on. I also have a preamp mounted at the antenna. Mine is exterior mounted. We reliably pull in UHF channels 70+ miles away and VHF-high channels 40+ miles.

That 8 element bowtie is nice. It'll **** in the signals. It's equivalent to two of my G-H elements.

I added this tailgate table to my Jeep about a month ago. It works well and fits perfectly, but IMO it's kind of plain jane looking. To make it look better, and to have something unique, I decided to add a splash of color.

I used some leftover Lexan from my race car and painted it from the backside with the same body color base coat paint from my dash painting project. Painting it on the back side protects the paint and acts like a perfectly sprayed coat of clear. I bought a Jeep badge from Ebay and painted it to match the fender badges for a finishing touch.

Not today, but over the course of the past week, got busy pulling down the bent-up braces on the other side.

Tedious work but making some headway:

A little fine-tuning and clean-up remains, but for now, I've declared victory:

The truly ironic thing is, if we just go back to Standard Time, we can do that at the state level--no feds needed. But, no, y'all all want to get up in the dark so you can have a barbie after work.

Reorganizing the playroom closet since the kiddo likes to take things out of it now.

Needed to use the shop table for some space so I thought it'd be cool to take a family pic of my old consoles.

All of them are fully functional, and 3 are modified with optical drive emulators.

The portable consoles are all in our bedroom.

Measured out some more direct-bury Cat5e off a roll that was sold to me that was supposed to be 75ft. I knew when I unboxed it that it was way more than 75... I believe it was actually about 400ft, lol. I finally used up the last of it with a 120ft run and a 50ft run, not to mention the last two 75ft runs, and a random length I gave away.

An indigenous person whose ancestors had been living on this continent for centuries before 1492 made the observation; only one of those newcomers would think you can make a blanket longer by cutting off a piece on one end and sewing it on the other.
It just depends on whether you measure from the right or the left... ;)

Go up to Page/Vermilion Cliffs area in norther AZ. near southern Utah if you to really be confused by the whole changing the clock thing.

Your cell phone (when you have a signal) will show you a different time depending on if the phone pings a tower in AZ, Utah, or on the Rez and doesn’t care what state you are in.

Move to Arizona. We're secure enough to leave our clocks alone all year long. ;)
Because you all decided that solar--Standard--time was good enough. No congressional BS to deal with.

Gets all interesting over towards the Four Corners, too. The Hopi res, embedded in the Navajo, observes Standard year-round like AZ, but the Navajo goes to DST in the spring.

Or, at least, that's how it was forty-odd years ago when I lived in the area.

I used to get my ******* in a wad over the time change, every damn time a clock was changed.....then, I retired. Much better now!

Doesn't help when you have kids :ROFLMAO:

Retired some 3 years ago, but that time changed messed with my 2.5 year old's sleep (waking up at 530 instead of 630) so in turn it's ******* with my sleep lol

Been fighting the CEL codes on the 95 T-bird for several days off and on - D0102 (MAF) and D0155 (Bank 2, (O2) sensor 1)

102: changed the Air filter, cleaned the MAF screen 2X cleaned the connectors to it 2X...

155: Looked like the heater on the DS front O2 sensor was dead so I bought a new one and; Nada. its not happy still...

Fixed one very obvious vacuum leak. (Rotted elbows...)

Codes won't stay away...

Beginning to get irritated with this!

one problem is AZ if one has an atomic clock. I have to change from PST to MST or the reverse twice a year on mine. The signal uses DST.
The signal is in UST--Greenwich Mean Time. Which is why you have to tell the clock your time zone.

Having a strange transient problem with the Toy. The BRAKE light flashes, but only in second gear and only on ONE particular left-hand turn in town. No idea what's with that. Checked fluid and level is fine--but the fluid is the color of black coffee. I'll change it this week. Just got a pressure bleeder to make that chore easier.

Probably an intermittent ground. Love those.

A few small tasks - one was fitting track saw accessories into a spare Systainer that I had

The foam packaging that it came in fit almost perfectly, but required modification with a hot-wire foam cutter.

IMG_5615.jpeg

The other piece fit just on top:IMG_5616.jpeg

Then I finally repaired a forklift damaged tool box latch (Hit in 1990 and I've been tripping over it since:IMG_5647.jpeg
All I had was some 1/8 brazing rod, but it worked just fine:IMG_5649.jpeg
Not perfect, but it's a user.

Then I dusted off my Powermatic Jointer - now for sale - posted here in Classifieds first.
