Show off Vintage Mayhew Stuff

I found another SOLID JOINT No. 51 at the flea today. Normally, I would not bring a dupe home, but the marking is much stronger than the first one I found (see post #20), and this example, while identical in all other respects (including the marking), has a different, more ornamental grip pattern, looking almost doric near the end of the handle. The other No. 51 and the No. 52 (see post #37) do not have that flourish.

They appear to be a good bit cleaner than the pair I have listed in the classifieds. Mine don't have the "Doric" detail at the end of the grip.

I found this pin punch set at an estate sale yesterday. I was surprised that none of them was missing from the package.

That pin punch set is available on the shelf at all of the Home Depot stores near me. I'm only around 12 miles from where Mayhew makes them though. I'm not sure how widely they stock them in the stores nationally.

A couple of Mayhew finds from Saturday. They were both badly in need of dressing up on the striking end.
