Why? Because it is classless and shows a sort of dishonesty, kind of like a guy putting a SL500 badge on an SL300. It shows someone who is not entirely secure with themselves and trying to show off to the world something more than what they have.

Is it OK to put a Snap on sticker on it instead of a badge?
For the hassle and expense, just go buy a green cart.

I mean people can obviously put whatever they want on their carts but I do know that when others see that HF cart with the Snap-on badge they are going to laugh and snicker and think the person is shady trying to fool people for their own self aggrandizement.

If Harbor Freight is so good and gives pride of ownership then show off your Harbor Freight cart - why the need to present false appearances?

Who cares?

If you do paint it take lots of pictures, I'm interested to see how it turns out.

That's kind of what I was thinking. The dude just asked where he could get an emblem for HIS toolbox. Boy,I sure am glad we have members on here who are the unwavering moral compass of GJ,makes me sleep a whole lot better at night.

Ah, really man. Just because some cranky tool diehards don't like what you are doing doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. Personally, I'd like to see you paint the thing and slap whatever logo you feel like on it. You can't throw the towel in that easy, seems like an overreaction.

If you get your feeling hurt maybe this isn't the best place for you. BUT if you want to paint it and throw a Snap-On badge on it more power to ya. It isn't anything that 90% havent thought of and probably half had already done before. I have put a Snap-On logo on a Mac sidebox to match my Snap-On boxes so I don't see any big deal or dishonsety about it. It's when you go to sell it and you call it what it isn't do ethics come into play. Toss the Diaper, paint the cart and put the logo on it then come back on and rub peoples faces in it. If I had the cart and the logo I'd sure do it even if I was the only person that ever saw it. When it come to what others think, well frankly I don;t give a damn:beer:

It doesn't really matter what sticker is on it. However, if you plan to sell it, that would be misleading.

This is a very polite forum, if those posts made you leave forever I think you are taking things too personally. I suppose only you can judge that though.

Well, seeing as Snap-On was selling the SAME cart rebadged as Blue Point and sold it for $600, I see nothing worse here. I think it is much better to pay $100 and a few $ for a snap-on logo than $500 for a Blue Point sticker. LOL!!!!!

Boy, this turned into an interesting but sad post. A guy asks a question and the next thing he leaves the site for good. Nice. I bought a second side box for my Husky set. Turns out that I couldnt get a Husky side box anymore but the Beach boxes are made in the same factory. The same place that makes the Mac boxes. I got all this info from a woman at Stanley Tool who also gave me the number for the factory up in Canada so I could speak to one of the managers directly. The Beach brand is the same color as the Husky and Mac boxes. The only difference was it had one more drawer. The guy at the factory sent me two new badges so all the boxes would match. Big deal. This is the only place where guys would make an issue of something so petty. What if he sent me four new Mac badges ? Its not like the guy said he was going to make knock offs to sell on Craigslist.

Don't let the knuckleheads get to you. I would like to see how the box turns out as well.

At one point I had a pair of Bluepoint toolcarts that I bought for a couple hundred apiece off of CL. They were extremely well made tool carts. I put SO badges and decals on them as well. I took the BluePoint sticker I peeled off of one of them and put it on my portable air compressor...:lol_hitti

You can just barely see the BluePoint sticker under the pump on the compressor...

Dude...that vanity plate from Virginia is awesome! How the hell did you get that by the clowns at the DMV? :bowdown::bowdown:

They had no issue with it. However, they do have a problem with the exhaust and window tint and have the ticket from last week to prove it. :p
