Workspaces between 705 and 1200 squarefeet.
Saturday John and his daughter came over by 10.30
Coffee, chat and by 11.00 I rolled the jack under the car.
Modern, 2017 Vauxhall Mokka X or in America it’s known as a Buick something
Long story short…..
Last MOT on this car had advisory on rear brakes, front ball joints.
John decided to replace complete lower control arms, 3 bolts and rear brakes shoes.
I “helped” with coffee, tools, reassembly etc.
Without space for two guys, I got some rubbing compound and polish out and fixed a few fender and door scrapes. Small things, make s difference.
5.5 hours later they drove off.
In both cases, the first side was longer than the second.
But, another job done, karma bucket hopefully topped up.

Ahhhh yes.
Amazing it comes on my Facebook feed.
Facebook, despite pretending to be family friendly has whores and all sorts of other things being advertised and pushed on not just my feed.
Says a lot about how I am perceived I guess.

I did Google it last night and stopped reading after the words “Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure to reduce and reshape the labia minora, the inner folds of skin …!
Sounds like torture and mutation and should be illegal!
My confusion revolved around the seemingly irrelevance of the photos and also how there is no commonality among subject matters of the photos!

95% of the dipshits who may have it done already have rubber lips like a freak fish.
They mostly drive overpriced foreign cars that they certainly didn’t work for. And have more silicone than the toilets at an NBA stadium bathrooms.

I am just amazed that a place like Facebook is permitted to exist and flourish despite being able to influence kids with not enough brain cells yet to chew and breathe at the same time.
I have delivered babies, including doing the episiotomy and repairing it successfully, so I know these areas quite well.

Pedro called 911-Grizz and said the battery warning light is on!
The new battery voltage was reading 10.7 volts. It seems the alternator was not charging the battery sufficiently.
The Battery seemed fine when it was charged by the charger, which confirmed that the alternator has pushed the daisies. Spent 150 pounds on a new alternator and the problem was resolved.

So I gather jumper leads, towing straps (provided by pavement gods) and drive 5 miles to find him, car and 6 guys in orange hi-viz outfits obstructing a roadside street corner.
Car starts again, we drive 500 meters, cuts out, so we connect strap and I two him home.
Push car up onto my driveway in the dark.
Try various diagnostics suggested by my team of remote consultant mechanics who are on 24 hour call out. (Thank goodness for karma)
Tell Pedro to calm down to a mild panic because it’s-2’C by now, roads are gritted, as are my teeth.
Now Pedro has to go back on site at 8.30pm six nights a week to fill the diesel tanks on the industrial heaters that are drying the concrete sections for the HS2 project.
So I take him back on site 7 miles away at 8.30 and we get back at 9.30
Pedro still stressing, so I tell him to go have dinner (Spanish you know, late night dinners) and that I will take him to work at 6.30am and collect at 5.00pm.
****** freezing.
By 11.00am I have tested the alternator as well, zero charge, and then gone to see Cliff, described the problem and been told to charge battery and bring the car in 2-3 hours
Deliver car by 2.00pm
Cliff returns it by 4.40pm as I am leaving to collect Pedro, so I drop Cliff off at his garage and go collect Pedro.
Like a kid on Christmas when we get back and he sees his Fiesta on the drive.
New alternator £93.00 plus 20% VAT
Fitted and car returned same afternoon, £150.00 total.
I asked Cliff if he was sure on price, his reply: “You told me ‘Life is Good’ I guess it is”
Sometimes You just realise, Life is Good.

Anyone reading this thread got an OBS Chevy 4.3 V6 Silverado stepside truck, of early 90’s vintage?
Tell me in as many words as you need why I should not buy one with around 80k miles (no idea if it has been clocked)
Or of course you could always advise me to go buy it already.
It would replace the Astro as only one bay in the (UN)stables.

Well, if it hasn't run in a few years, there's a good chance the whole fuel system will need to be gone through to clean out the varnish. You might be able to see if it starts by dumping some gas in the carb. Hopefully the electrical hasn't been eaten by critters.
Are you into that fuzzy white interior?? Also, what's with the delivery truck in the last pic? Did the driver not put the outrigger in place before loading/unloading?

Spray painting inside, having a woman or not, is probably not a great idea.
Have you considered taking the pieces that you want to spray paint (I am assuming the C10 panels) inside for a few hours and letting them to warm up. Then taking them one by one outside, with a heater nearby, spray painting them and the.n taking them inside again to let cure and dry.
Even though you still have to bare the smell and vapor of drying paint inside, it still should help reduce the amount vapor floating in the air as well as prevent paint vapor sticking to carpet, furniture, walls etc etc inside!

Those who have been paying attention here will know that there is no romantic connection between Sarah (the widow) and me.
However, I do enjoy her company and the fact that she gets on with life and makes me laugh, and she seems to get both my sense of humour and is always ready to kick me in the ribs. This is a significant compliment in my world.
She essentially adopted her late husband’s grown up sons and grandchildren, so looks out for them.
Recently she asked me to keep an eye out for a used lawnmower for her.
I am a great fan of £50.00 mowers, though that benchmark seems to have moved up to £80.00 for the Mountfield mowers I like. The older ones come with a Briggs and Stratton “EasyStart” motor.
So I kept looking, a few of the £50-80 mowers I messaged about were sold fast.
Then this snotter came up……
One terrible photo and a spectacular description.
So I messaged the seller and fetched it at 09.00 yesterday morning about 30 minutes from home.
Started it on the sidewalk, put it in the car.
Came home, cleaned it’s chassis and grass box.
Managed to let some oil and fuel end on the floor.
I think neglect, not over use was this mowers problem.
Then I had coffee and a donut (Thanks Pedro)
Part 2 later.
Off to fetch an adult sized push scooter now.
