I'm not a big fan of these. I prefer the traditional channel lock pumps. I have a pair of these knipex. (several, and not identical, but similar) For a lot of what I use this type of slip joint plier, the traditional channel lock design works better. Folr some tasks, the knipex works better. Just bought 2 pairs of channel lock 9.5" for $20 ea.,

Always helps to post the deal price- they change quickly sometimes

In this case I believe the OP posted a $33.70 for the pair w/o shipping

and historically that is a good price, these typically sell in the low $40s

The last time I bought comfort grips - $75. Comfort grips usually ads about $10.

HJE has regular grips at $39.48, but shipping. Hmm, Amazon shows me that price, too. Are these year-end/model-changing-soon prices?

I'll tell you guys what really needs the comfort grips are the plier wrenches. The regular dipped handles are not comfortable at all.

The Cobras and the plier wrenches do not have the same shaped handles.

The Cobras regular dipped handles are not too bad, but you definitely want to get the comforts grips if you're buying their plier wrenches.

I've got a brand new 10-inch pliers wrench that I would love to trade for the comfort grip version if somebody wants to take me up on it.

I bought these for $20 in March 2024 on the Amazon Business site. They are $43 over there now. That was an unusually low price even back then. $34 is the lowest I’ve seen them in quite awhile. Good deal.
