I mounted mine on the wall with an “L” shaped bracket and a dowel rod up through the bottom.
That might work. I'll goof around with trying to mount it like that. Yours is way better shape than mine. I looked for pics of the base it supposed to sit on and found people asking hundreds of dollars for these things. Do people actually pay that much for stuff like this, or are these sellers dreaming? I feel out of it, or poor not very wealthy, or both.

I bought mine off eBay 10-15 years ago. I think they were in the $75-100 range back then.

I’m thinking this might be a tire lug wrench. I’m used to seeing the curved handle ones that were also used as a lever to move the bumper jacks up and down… the only stamping I’ve noticed is a raised letter U on 2 sides of the head the tool… this is the first straight handled one I’ve seen. Unless it’s not a tire lug wrench… any input appreciated.

Update… I cleaned it up a bit and the one side is stamped with an E and the other is USA… still doing a search on the tool

Very large poster from 1954 for a benefit raffle giving away all the vehicles illustrated on the poster.
Nice! (Although I thought I was on your thread there for a sec. Perfect example of an actual piece of ephemera. :)) Also, I wonder how many other languages just use "scooter," because, ya know, some words are just too perfect for translation.
No, but it’ll fit in the back of a Sprinter.
It would be more appropriate and turn a lot of heads if the white one was rolled out of the back of something like this one day!

Perhaps the ephemera thread would have been the better place to post that stuff. I was broadly interpreting "paraphernalia" as the stuff we collect related to our vehicles. I would think there's probably a lot of items that would fit nicely in either thread such as manuals, magazines, advertising etc.....but for this thread maybe a better definition would be "equipment and accessories"? How about these?

Oh, sorry, I wasn't scolding you, kyrbz. I obviously enjoyed looking at it and got a kick out of the "scooters" surrounded by so much French! :) I'm long past trying to keep this thread as narrowly defined as I stated in post #1.
So, this is not about tools, per se, but meant to celebrate all the miscellaneous accessories.

Whether it's a whistle or a tire patch kit, Brass Era or Muscle, show us more of the functional accoutrements that people used to famously keep in or on their car!
I literally did a double take, though, because I think of things like old posters, brochures, receipts, etc, related to automobiles as classic ephemera, i.e., your thread. The term is synonymous with "paper" in collectors' parlance in my experience. But hey, maybe that's just me.
I would think there's probably a lot of items that would fit nicely in either thread such as manuals, magazines, advertising etc.....
Only if they're kept under the seat or in the glovebox! :) (Kidding!)
How about these?
HAHA! That plate! It would be big and good-humored of you to put that on an Isetta, but I know that most owners of classic micro-cars (Isetta, Peel, Messerschmidt, etc) and even classic dune buggies would probably bristle a little.

You didn't comment on the van. Wouldn't that be cool?! Like the future mothership birthing a historical baby. :)

I'm sure that plate was previously on a microcar. It was in one of the many boxes of Subaru 360 parts I bought from a Subaru 360 collector many years ago. I'm kind of a purist, so it always hurts when I see a microcar customized. Shriners were some of the worst offenders, but it seems common human nature (at least in the US) for people to want to molest small cars for some reason?

The BMW van birthing an Isetta would be a hilarious way to show up at a microcar event. There's a guy that shows up at local microcar events that has a bus converted to an RV with a door on the side that he is able to drive his Crosley out of. That concept seems to show up every now and then. Honda seems to particularly like experimenting with it. An example would be the Motocomp scooter designed to fit in the trunk of their subcompact Honda City car . It was inspired by the WWII era British Welbike folding motorcycle. The Mazda Suitcase Car would be another example. One of my vintage microcar magazines had an article about a concept car that that was designed to hold a Messerschmitt. It was intended to let the driver switch from a full sized luxury car to the smaller Messerschmitt when they approached more congested city areas. It might be an idea that is gaining traction. I live in an urban city environment where the Bird scooters are popular (and a pain in a _s), but I increasingly see people drive downtown in their cars bringing their own electric scooters to explore, shop and dine downtown. Now that I think about it, the electric scooter might be the new "accessory" or "paraphernalia" that people keep in the trunk of their car :)

It's an awesome idea. I have to admit, when I "conceived" (see what I did there thematically? :)) of the futuristic BMV Van birthing the artifactual BMW Isetta, my next thought was something like the people who travel the country in huge RV's towing a little runabout behind them because of the maneuverability hassle in and round various locales (urban, national parks, etc). Popping a microcar out of the back and down a couple ramps would be nifty! But the BMW Van, like the popular Sprinters, already looks like a very nice balance between touring size/comfort and zippiness.

Also other camping parts of the country - everywhere Jeeps, Broncos, and other off road vehicles are also popular. You might be surprised about upstate New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan, as well as California, Texas, and Florida. I have to admit, though, I probably see more Tracker and Samurai class.

I love the Motometer tire pressure gauge. I have one that is still a "go to" tool.

No, it's a red Goggomobil ;)
It's been years since I've seen one. In Southern Illinois way back in the 60s I went a friend to see someone he knew whose dad had 2 Goggomobil. One was like yours and the other was a sport car looking one. At the time I thought it looked like a really small looking Karman Ghia, looking at photos, it it might have been a TS 250. I always wondered what happened to them. I was just a kid but thought they were cool.
