Working on the 57 Chevy 3100. Fuel gauge was tied to the wrong sending unit. Got one with the correct range of resistance before I pulled the aftermarket tank. Then I see the major flaw
. The one I ordered doesn't incorporate a suction tube.A little head scratching & figured out how to switch the wire wound sensors. Karma was with me as when I first crawled under the truck to pull the tank I spotted a rusty item in the grass. It was an old 3/8 socket keeper from a socket organizer. Thats the plate steel thing with a handle that sockets pop on and off of the keepers. Set it aside.
During the swap of sensor elements I need a secure way to attach the new one. BOOM! It was right there. Socket organizer clipped tightly to the suction tube and tabs on each end mated with the sensor bracket. Big win.
2 coats of polycrylic on the bi-fold door. Hopefully tomorrow, I get get 2 coats on the front of the doors.

My 91. I've done about as much as I'm going to do to it. Still need to install the braided brake lines.

If I ever bought a newer bike at T7 would be it. Probably sounds killer with the Arrow can.Installed a short plate bracket.
Sounds a tad louder than stock,baffle is pain in the a.. to remove. This thing needs a full system to have a decent sound.

Started adding some 3D-printed feet on my M18 vacuum so I can mount it to my Packout setup. Front two feet worked perfect but the rear two need some thin shims added so they can lock in more easily. Might have to cut some plastic shims from a coffee can lid or something similar.

I stuck a bunch of small metal parts and some polishing media in a plastic snack container and used my rotary axis like a rock tumbler, worked fine. So yes.

It's been a while since I've checked in here.
Not much going on in thegarage shop lately. 
I had extensive shoulder surgery on Feb. 27th. PT began on on the 18th of this month.
I have so many projects that I need to complete and some that I want to begin on.
I'll just pass my time, reading and seeing what all of you are doing instead.

Checking the carb off the fergie. If the look of the butterfly is any indication, I've got some cleaning to do.
I rebuilt that carb about 6 years ago. Ethanol is pure garbage in fuel. That's just a personal opinion. You can drain it after every use, but the stuff is insidious.

I have to excavate - my shop is collapsing on itself, and well, aw ****.... my fault for trusting 250 year old construction. Bah effing humbug.
Sorry I missed what you deleted... but yeah, your disaster is far worse than my scooping out all my Snappy tools that got sunk when my shop came apart in last night's snowstorm.. Who woulda thought, end of march, 1.5 feet of snow. In Italy??? Effff that.

last weekend i mcguyvered a transmission stand because the HF PITTSBURGH 800 lb. Low-Lift Transmission Jack was way too wobbley and i need the ground clearance to re-mate engine and FWD trnsmission.

After working w/JB Weld to piece it back together, I re-installed the plastic control panel/case end-piece on a HFT Vulcan OmniPro 220 multi-process welder. It works once again. I tested it on a cracked spade shovel, and that will work again.
