It's up there in reply #19. That's all I found.

As far as the meter, its an inexpensive off brand clamp meter. I'll accept it isn't appropriate for accurate surge current but I hope it's close.

that nameplate is missing lots of info if its a motor nameplate. are you sure this is the nameplate on the motor?

To be fair to the OP, there is no formal definition for inrush current, and many meters do capture what I would call I'' (read as "I double prime") under the guise of the min/max feature. That's how my Amprobe works. It mentions inrush in the instructions, but nowhere on the meter.

my fluke clamp meter specifcally has an in-rush button that activates specific circuitry for capturing it. if i use the min-max button instead, its not as accurate....

There isn't a label anywhere on the motor. That label in the photo is in the impeller cover of the dc next to the motor mount.

Second EG4 6000XP is installed. My Central Machinery (Harbor Freight) dust collector now starts with no problem. While watching my meter I noticed the surge on start up is shared between the two inverters.

Then I noticed my old remote switch is no longer working. I know how to test a contactor but this model doesn't have a physical plunger that I can manually actuate (Noark EX9CK40A20). I'll attempt to send a 24V current through it when I get a chance. While figuring out how I was going to do that I pulled the remote switch (Hesunse YL-A1T) apart and found evidence of a minor explosion inside. So I am sure that is toast. Likely that's why the contactor will not work. I'll connect a power supply to the contactor today and see if it moves. That's just to satisfy my curiosity. I ordered a 30a hard wired switch and will try replacing the original switch/contactor when it arrives.
