A friend's father gave this wrench to him. Can anyone identify it? It must be from the 1800s. The marks on the wrench are difficult to make out. I could take additional pictures if that would help.

Had a tool collector friend that lived in that area in a house built right on the waters edge. You had to park in a lot up above and walk down a trail on the face of the cliff to get there or come in by water. Odd place. Brother in law also lives in Ruston and owns numerous properties there.^ I am sure it is "Pexto", but after looking at the patent document (and the patent document for 553059) I am having second thoughts - not 100% sure that either of those patents are applicable.
I am confused - most likely due to trying to unravel several balls of yarn at the same time.
