What is different about the mistake tail lights? Do you have wiring diagrams? Let’s see if we can help you simulate them. You have gone too far with This project not to. The car looks great!
See if you can source some off a totaled ride and disassemble them. Most likely it’s a module that monitors and controls the led load(s). Once you/we have a load value for them, it can be mimicked with a resistor I bet.

Pretty sure the taillights have a circuit board in them and the BCM communicates with them.
If you have the diagrams, and the theory and operation of the circuit, it's likely there's a way to send the correct signal back to make the bcm happy. I'd be surprised if you can't find out what it is.

I’ve read the tail lights can be put in an oven at 250 degrees which melts the adhesive and then be dismantled. Guys do this to change the color of the lenses.
