Oil for the dailies I get Kirkland at Costco as our stuff gets changed out every spring and fall, if it’s gonna cost me 40$ a car then it’s worth it.

I picked up 4 jugs of Mobil 1 High Mileage at Wal-mart for $24.97 each. Rebate was easy to submit online (https://promotions.mobil.com/offers/fastfurious/Home/EntryForm) with instant email confirmation. I usually pick up oil at estate sales and auctions but don't always come across 5W-20. Worked out to $3.46 a quart after tax and rebate. Thanks for the heads up.

I put in a Walmart delivery order for 5 - 5qt jugs of Mobile1 5w30 right before I read about the rebate. I filled it out online and sent it in and will see what happens.

I got a little lucky on the price. I picked up (2) 0W16, (2) 0W20, and (1) 5W30. The 0W16 was on sale for $24.97, all the others were $29.97. The cashier scanned the 0W16 five times. I didn’t catch it until I scanned the receipt to send it in.

I got my Shell Rotella $80 rebate for buying six of the gallon jugs of oil and have used the rebate a couple of times. Not the most convenient to use since I got the digital rebate. Too cheap to pay $5 for a plastic rebate card. LOL!

I wasn't sure what the balance was on my rebate so after some internet searching I found this number to call to check the balance:
877-448-4438 Select option 1.
It goes to www.perfectgift.com and will ask for your card number and the three digit CVV number.

So I read this, checked status of mine.
Not found.

Oddly enough, I knew what day I submitted it, May 15.

Contacted CS, they said they found it.
Submitted May 15.
Said it was still in initial processing, which can take up to 4 weeks, so system said Not Found.

Now, I'm no Numerologist, but hasn't it been MORE than 4 weeks since May 15????

I had the same issue that they said I purchased outside of the rebate window, which was false. When I called they said the email was in error for a large amount of people and they checked my rebates and said they were still going through. Although they said I should check with them again right before the promotion expires since it takes 6-8 weeks from now to process, which if there is another "issue" could put me outside of the claim date.

Lots of people on the Bob Oil site are all over this and have a large thread.

The best rebate experience I've had was from Valvoline. A couple of years ago they had a $5 rebate promotion (on 5 qt jugs, as I recall). After texting them a pic of the receipt and providing basic info, the rebate was in my Venmo account within a couple of days. This could be done up to five times within their several month window.
