I guess once the cut length and angles are the same, it will be pretty easy to duplicate 18 pieces and stay within specs
Finding a flat suitable surface so as not to grovel on the floor for assembly is the hard part of constructing them. If you can set up a miter saw with length stops you can blow right through the cutting pieces to proper angles and lengths. Tell Rock you have a project for him. He likes working with wood. 😋

I wanted to but lifting the section was way too heavy by myself. I probably could’ve but didn’t want to hurt my back more than it already was.
Yeah, I hear you. If you can't get help lifting them and don't have equipment, building in place is all you can do.
I was thinking about making a jig from the first one on a sacrifice piece of osb or plywood.
You can build a jig on the floor. Place blocks around the first one for locating and tack them down with screws or long trim nails.

I’ve got enough scraps that I can use some screws to mount blocks.
see the attached. It shows the length and on the right it shows the angles to cut the ends

It’s not very complicated but back breaking at 61 with severe arthritis. I’m gonna get it done though, I would love to have it dried in tomorrow but that’s a wish. We're expecting some
Storms late in the day so I’m gonna try to start earlier than normal. Will be cooler as well

Assuming those are gussets at connections in the rafter drawing. You may want to use some structural adhesive in addition to screws or nailing. I actually used a heavy pneumatic wide-crown stapler (with adhesive) on last shed that I built and it worked out great.

I didn’t use adhesive, just 16 nails at each and 2 screws, there is a gusset made from
T111 on each side at each joint and I screwed them together first to keep it straight before
I nailed the gusset on.

I'm sure it will be fine. Looks nice.

Well I have some trusses up but it’s hotter than hell here and after last nights rain it’s drippy humid I take a break in the A/C after each one. It’s coming along though
It is 91 with a heat index of 99 at my house now, and it was 97% humidity at 4:30 this morning. Be careful out there!

I’m inside drying off now. I’ve. Drank a plenty and I go sit in the A/C very often. I’m diabetic so I also have to account for that. Pacing myself is key. I m very careful. I’ve have a heat episode one time. It felt bad.

Did you build all the trusses at one time?

Building looks good so far. Just take your time working off your scaffolding plank.
Yes and no. I cut all the pieces at the same time the I cut all the angles and set aside the pieces then started to build them. I laid them on the floor. Screwed them together so I could see the joined part, then I nailed the gussets on each side.

I do similar. No particular health issues other than controlled asthma and being 78. Last winter I took a break from running the snow thrower. Wife heard no engine noise and came to check on me. 'I am fine, I am just on break. I am NOT going to be one of those old guys who dies working on snow.' When I was about 20 I hung around at a tiny car dealer a lot because they sold MGs and Renaults. One early summer I stopped by and found that the old owner had died. He had been installing a window AC unit by himself. It was mounted high enough he needed a short step ladder. They found him and the AC on the floor. I have never forgotten that.

Coming along nicely but suggest flattening out some of that tar paper as it can telegraph through both metal and asphalt roofing.

I just checked the weather for our area. It is predicted to ramp up a few degrees in temperature each day to reach 100 on Saturday. With the humidity here that will be brutal. As Wednesday Addams would say, “Be afraid, be very afraid”.

It’s been a tad warm outside Friday and yesterday but I have most of the metal up on 1 side. Got all the sheathing up so I hope will be dried in today except for the door. It will have to have a tarp on it until I get back from my trip unless I can made it this week. I will say that it’s not 100% square but it’s a shed so it’s gonna have to do.

During the workday, how many times does the crew take a lap in the pool?

Looking good. What’s the expected life of the metal roof?

Is the metal cut to the right length or is there some trimming required?

We’ve had at least 3 days of 100*+ temps here.

There is always tolerance in building structures. It doesn’t look out of square from here at the 15 mile or so range.😉 You have made good progress, especially working in this oven since you started. Ddawg16 from Los Angeles came to visit at my shop about 12 years ago when temps were like this and I was cutting the grass. He made the comment that it gets pretty hot where he lived, but it didn’t get THIS damn hot feeling.😀
