Ha, just to put minds at ease, copper color is metallic paint, not real. Will hold color much better. I also realize appearance here is very subjective. Appreciate the replies. I don't want to share my opinions yet, so I don't taint the water. I'm curious what you guys think of the corners. A lot of work to do on those.

Those humongous corners will almost certainly "oil can" with wood shrinkage/temperature changes.
Then there's the currently trendy black/gray color that I think in 6-8 years will date your building negatively.
I'd go with a similar sized masonry corner. Probably an oversized brick or split face block.

We have copper downspouts (common here) - they're really cool, really expensive, and turn brown really fast. The real problem is some tweaker will see it and then you say byebye to it - we had 120 year old copper downspouts at a church we used to go to and someone tore them off and sold them to a metal scrapper.

Personally I am not a big fan of the large corners at all. But I also dont know the overall site plan etc. Are there other buildings nearby to match ? Copper (real or painted) downspouts have their place but I dont think they belong on this building. I would want them painted the same color as the siding.

But bottom line is you have to like it :)

Thanks again for the replies guys. I realize this is pure opinion based. Just to add for into, the corners look bigger in pics than they will actually be. A normal corner is usually about 6.5" and these are 15". This shop is actually in a rural area, not next to other commercial buildings. The copper was intended to toss a little barn flare.

As for building selections for those saying #1, which #1? The first pic or #1 in the second pic, because the buildings are different.

And again, I'm open to other ideas. It's funny how someone mentioned masonry corners because that is exactly where I was trying to go, but could not find anything that could install in this application without real masonry, which would be hugely expensive. The oil canning is something real to evaluate.

Me, I like the blue because it matches the window trim. That said I would match the corner to the window if any color is chosen.

The smoother trim in pic 1 makes the corner stand out visually, even in monotone. The slotted in 2nd pic, #1 of 4 has no visual benefit.

So, if I was pushing a pallet jack past, pic 1 is better to dissuade nearby pedestrian travel.

Most pole sheds here, it's easy to identify when they were built (roughly), by the color or design. Copper seems to be all the rage now, and 30 years from now, it will be the dead give away, when the building was constructed. Glad to see the green trim era is over.
