So I cleaned up the swivels, went through my spares and "need" a 3/4" 6 point =v= series. When I say "need" it only means I'm not pulling one from another set to complete this one. I may have to sneak off to the local flea market tomorrow A.M. before cutting the grass.
Biggest I have is 5/8” sorry. I’ll keep my eye out.

A decent day despite the Col Flea being a bust. Yard sales made up for it but I started after that with a Freecycle PU for an 8" high "stepper" I'll use as a camp side step into the side door, a reflective triangle and 2 bid pieces of reflective stuff I use to make better windshield screens (I hate the accordion one I have in the van)

First producing YS was Cratex wheels for $2:

Y1-cratex.jpg

Then an Estates sale 2nd and final 1/2 off day (I missed the first half off day) $12 for a 2 drawer intermediate same size as a 20" Kennedy - partially full and I found the keys! Very happy at $12

Contents in more detail:
a couple Chicom and a couple no name but Craftsman, and Bridgeport were nice gets:

Lots of drills:

ES1-E-drills.jpg

A short pick jig saw blades 2 screw starters a welding striker, and the dykes turned out to be Klein.

I missed a really long drill in the back of a drawer, then the red devil scraper, and a SS tape measure in inch and CM 200 CM long.

Another YS I got the jar og anchors for the heavy washers, and the driver is an early Plvmb Amber grip: A buck

Y2-Plomb-Washers.jpg

Another YS - A buck for the Ulster Scout knife - nicer that my other Ulster, but the lanyard loop is MIA, and $2 for the reast - Glass knobs, and a can opener.

And last stop a regular and got a bunch of good ones from his "junk pile" - Blackhawk, Proto LA X3, Plvmb, Herbrand, Bridgeport:

We had to stop and take some pictures of this potential treasure we spotted as we drove by a yard in Minden. IMG_9023.jpegIMG_9025.jpegIMG_9026.jpegIMG_9027.jpegIMG_9028.jpegIMG_0875.png
I had to make sure that it wasn’t the one we sold a few decades back but it was just a look alike. My wife commuted in hers for over 100,000 miles after I restored it.IMG_3178.jpegIMG_7052.jpeg

Thats a pretty solid looking Lakewood in the yard but looks a bit overpriced? but if its truly rust free, I could see it being worth that.

MrsLS had packed up a few cubic feet of basement clutter, so at 04:30 we took it to Jake’s Flea Mkt to sell. After we set up, I did a recon of the field and picked up a few things to refill the void.
My first purchase was some SS flatware reminiscent of my grandmother’s Impassa Japan atomic starburst set (which I have… somewhere), partially addressing one of two problems. ALL the knives (even ones I’ve seen on eBay) have a crack in the blade between the logo stamp and the handle, which I take to be a manufacturing issue. These knives don’t share that flaw. (The unaddressed problem is that the ice tea spoons, of which she was inordinately proud, and her three sisters inordinately jealous, were missing from her home when we emptied it.)
I could make out “cast steel” on the hack saw frame, so I knew it was old. As I hoped, turned out to be Henry Disston & Sons Philada USA.
Champion quilt frame clamp. Craftsman 1/4dr deep. Unmarked brick pointer. Challenger 1/4dr spinner. Wm Hjorth Jamestown NY “AUTO” bent nose pliers, Easco stubby Phillips. Vacuum-Grip Newport battery pliers, Snap-on tiny dikes, Utica slipjoints, France duckbill box joint pliers (with more mfr stamps I haven’t deciphered). Unbranded No1 concrete seamer. Bonney 6” Stillson and 31/32” 6pt socket. $12 for everything, plus we netted ten times that on stuff we sold.

Slow day at the market, not a ton of vendors even on a nice day. I did get 1 thing though a nice Thorsen 1218 socket set. I think it’s missing a few pieces but not sure yet. Sockets are
5/8 - 1-1/4 and don’t look used. $15 deal

IMG_7558.jpegIMG_7559.jpeg

I'm not a Thorsen person but I'm in love with that wrinkle finish.

Got a few lots recently.

$15
5389.jpg
$22 plus compact farm jack from the 90s(?) not pictured because it didn't feel like much of a show item and annoying to get pics
5395.jpg

Here's the more showy stuff cleaned up:

Diamalloy Handyman(well used but functional)
Midwest Foundry bottle opener(looking for more info)
US made Walsco bdog bone(probably a new keychain, haven't looked into it yet)
Chrome Vanadium 1/2 drive flip socket(probably nothing since it's not branded but it's new and maybe useful)
Ball peen(haven't identified mark yet but pretty nice proportions)
"Coconut maul" (forged blunt spike hammer)
Sears & Roebuck Cobbler hammer(wanted one and it happened to be decent condition)
5397.jpg
5398.jpg
5399.jpg
5400.jpg
5402.jpg
5403.jpg
5405.jpg

Anybody have a guess on spike hammer? Forged so no markings but all I see is a great coconut cracker or a mini ship maul/spike maul.
combination ice hammer/bottle opener for home bar

There used to be Sunday regattas of those on the casting pool of Westmoreland Park in Portland, OR. Always fun to watch. Skipperless, uncrewed boat racing--what could possibly go wrong?
Only time sailing with no PFD, bzzr's in hand and zero attention to the wind, actually works.

Hit several sales this weekend. Not much stuff I was personally interested in. I did find a few things for my side hustle though. The cd player, hats, streamlight flashlight, USGI M1911 tanker holster, and hardi plank cutter $15 all in. Now for the left behind. I’m sure some of you will harshly judge me for not rescuing this Case knife display case for $50. I really wanted it but the glass was missing and it was rather large. It even had the original key for all the drawers!

Takin' it easy today, hit a laid-back estate sale with a garage I hoped would be loaded. I thought that was a dead end because there wasn't really anything for me.
That's because the rest of the tools were actually hiding in the shed out back. The toolboxes were a bit waterlogged, which seems to have done a number on a few, but that's easily remedied.
Waiting on a bag of powder to brew up a rust remover batch.

Williams 12" adjustable.
Craftsman 43381 Pocket Socket adjustable wrench. (Where was the actual pocket-sized one?)
Bahco 10" adjustable.
Craftsman 45606 locking pliers.
Craftsman 10" extension and Husky 1/2 deep socket.
Craftsman 1/2 deep socket.
Stanley Workmaster 9/16 and 1/2 deep sockets.
Easco hex socket that's actually missing the hex bit. Oops.
SK Wayne 45170 3/8 ratchet.
3 Craftsman ratcheting hex bit screwdrivers of varying angles.
Craftsman impact driver that was soaking in a puddle. Has a slotted bit this time.
IMG_20260712_202807513_HDR~3.jpg

Took slightly too long to be able to hit the next planned stop, so I made do with the backup sale.
Glad for it. Never thought I'd find a Lobster wrench at an estate sale. Plus a triangular rack, Armstrong 7/16 combo, and immaculate Easco 3/4 deep socket.
IMG_20260712_213247406_HDR.jpg

Wrapped it up with a trip to a thrift shop with a warehouse that I know houses 2 socket totes. Filled a mini bin and bagged a well loved '82 Stanley bottle, nice insulator, and duck nutcracker for the critter quota.
Thorsen 1", 15/16, 3/4, 5/8, 7/16
Husky 11/16, 5/8, 1/2, 1/2
NAPA 5/8, 13mm
Craftsman 11/16, 5/8, 9/16, 9/16, 1/2, 3/8, 3/8
Kmart Auto 9/16

No ticks this time. I hope.
