AHCS1, used on Wittek Tower Clamps... They look sorta like a regular hose clamp, but use a thumb screw to tension the band in aircraft versions.

Interesting ! That socket reminds me of the driver used for screw-eyes.

I can't say I have seen those clamps with the thumbscrew before. The clamps / stays for wire and hydraulic lines on Army rotary wing aircraft were silicone lined.

I love Amazon...but there are some things you get there that aren't worth it if they were free.

I bought a kit a month or so ago to change valve cores on schrader valves on my kids AC. Actually his mustang and his wife's CRV both were low on R134A and had Shrader valve leaks. The kit included the tools for High and Low pressure and assorted (3 sizes) of valve cores. No issue on the larger ones in the honda, but the small ones the Ford used all leaked just as bad with the included replacement cores installed. Tried a few before I gave up and when to O Rileys and bought them there. They were $2 each I believe.

Anyway....$2 per vs I'm not sure what, because they were included with the kit. But what's the fair price for a brand new Schrader valve core that leaks when installed? Free would be too expensive.

Because all everyone cares about is price. If Amazon is a dollar cheaper way too many members of this website themseves jump all over, quality or local economy be damned.
Yes but what bothers me is these folks demand companies to stock parts for these 50-75 year old machines or 40-70's cars. It's litterly not good business sense. Shop wisley, choose hobbies you can afford and get parts for and have fun instead waking up every day pissed off someone can't get the exact screw that holds the sun visor on a 38 Pontiac.

Nothing in less than forty miles. O’Reilly delivers twice a day.
That’s an oddball piece, and I didn’t expect them to stock it, but I thought they would have it in their system somewhere. WRONG!!

For the ones who suggested various assortments, those are likely all threaded pieces.

As to tapping it out to 1/8” , if I had the shaft out of the bore I would. I don’t want to gouge the shaft, or wind up with shavings in the housing.

And while we’re at it, WhereTF is my good grease gun? I had it at the sugarhouse, it’s not there, not in any of my vehicles, definitely not back at the garage. I have another, but it doesn’t have the Lock-N-Lube nozzle.
It's where you left it. :)

These predate the approvals for worm gear clamps for low pressure soft tube connections. There are a couple of styles of Adels using in my Fairchild, both cushioned and non cushioned. The cushion material can be a rubber or silicone based material, depending on service location and temp requirements.

There was a youtube video (Royalty Auto Service)I saw about a car (Nissan maybe?) that would start up and immediately die. They eventually traced it back to an owner replaced hood latch likely sourced through Amazon (They found an identical non-OEM replacement hood latch on Amazon).

The hood latch had a switch in it to alert the driver if the hood was unlatched. It was supposed to put 5V back to the ECU down one wire if the latch signaled open. 5V down a different wire if the latch signaled close. The replacement hood latch was sending about 4V down both wires at the same time. The ECU couldn't figure out what was up with that, so it was just shutting down. Engine would start, run a few seconds, die.

New OEM latch was $17. Amazon had it priced at like $23.
