We’re slammed! I haven’t forgot about you but I know you guys are the most understanding of the situation. Will hit the stack hard this week and hopefully see some good progress. In past years I held the orders back to wait for the contests but I’m just gonna release what I can and if you win you’ll just have to take a road trip to pick it up. :)
Hey, not to get all maudlin but, seeing the field jacket liner on the back of the chair made me think of your Dad and how it would have been nice for him to see this Epstein's day.

On a side note, the three new hires can help with the mysterious liquidation purchase after the Epstein's Day orders are filled. I want to see footage of the new liquidation purchase pallets being unloaded and we don't need the OD Green wooden engineer toolboxes  You're looking a little pale, get some sun and fresh air, walk around the building during lunch :bounce:

WHAT THE HECK IS GOIN' ON?

I spent the past month or so worrying that I, personally, was going to ruin HJE Day with my hyper jabbering in this thread. Well, maybe not. But I wonder where the new GJites came from in the thread. It's that newfangled social media!

That, or people bought those pliers at Wal-Mart and somehow, I don't know how, connected that to Wilde to HJE to GJ to HJE Day?

Naaah, it's got to be your songs, Jori! Keep them coming!

Now you need to get on TikTok and hire three college girls to do synchronized dances with tool belts and large Crescent wrenches.

Sorry, Jori... just made another order... No, not a dagger knife. Just a putty knife. And my first Eklind purchase ever (that I know of, not sure where my Craftsman Allen L keys of yore came from.)

Earliest HJE Day order # I could find in the thread: 35126

My new order: 36787

Yow.

wow those HJE 250th anniversary pliers are pretty. If I had seen all the pics people are posting post mortem I would have gotten this into my order. Going to have to put those on my wish list for next year.

Would be awesome to see the top ten or top twenty list of items ordered for inspiration for next year.

You can, if need be, grab them at Wal-Mart. But they don't have HJE or the American flag or the 250th stuff on them, so they're just just mundane patriotic pliers. I bought a pair at Wal-Mart thinking I wouldn't be making another HJE order in a while... kinda regret it now. Maybe I'll sell them to a Frenchman.

SPECIAL HJE ARTWORK ALERT!

I sent a Japanese tomato slicer to a friend, and made an artwork request. This is not at all what I asked for, which is fine with us. But I think it means somebody else didn't get their package art! Or they got my request painted on their package? We shall see...

New deals at HJE! Local pickup only.

I had that pipe vise in my cart over the weekend of Epstein day.

Even at the full price they were asking it was about 1/4 the cost of a new one. Been on the hunt for that and an 1818 bender complete with all the shoes.

I need one for work but can’t justify paying for it out of pocket as I have a couple bench mounts at home and will be on light duty when I return to work for the next few months. I will probably hear some **** putting that on the company card when I’m currently out of work.

I have box art

Really like the wrenches.. I bought three because of the handles and they do not disappoint.

Did not need more drill bits but some general purpose 118 degree high speed steel are useful to have multiple sets.

Received a mystery gift.. 1/2" breaker bar. This thing is a beast.

Decided to try norseman tap and die. They look nice. SAE. This version does not push chips in front, so I can use on closed the holes. I don't user these often enough to need both. My other sets are the same.

Now I wait on my second order :)

Only two orders this time.

Damn ... I worked a bunch of nights around the holiday and totally missed Epstein day this year!!!
Bummed to miss out on cool stuff and the T shirt!!
Well fortunately for you, we didn't actually buy all the stuff.... Which means that if you wanted to you could still place an order... And I've been resisting placing another order for stuff I want but don't need

Got my Epstein order. I didn’t do box art and failed to get a picture of all the items, but I did snap a picture of my BRAND NEW Plomb 1/2” breaker bar. The head had a little corrosion and wouldn’t pivot so I had little hope of the ball detents working well. A little spray of Rust Free and everything works like the high quality USA made tool that it is. Very cool to think it was probably made around 85 years ago.

My ‘mystery box’ is the 3/8” u-joint from Duro Chrome. I assume same era as the breaker bar. IMG_0603.jpeg

Got my third HJE order today! Quick, small order, no box art, order made on July 13th. Order #1 still pending, but hey, artwork.

Eklind 5mm is heavy, sturdy. Like a Bondhus T, you can tell there's metal in that T.

Wilde long cotter pin puller is long! Sensibly priced! This will become my "pull English ivy out of grooves in bark" gardening tool. (Thus retiring a fancier, more expensive Mayhew pick that I think I also got from HJE.)

Scraper is very nice. Wood handle feels good. Blade has anticorrosion film on it that WD-40 removed easily

Gosh, this one is dirt cheap by comparison. Collect the set!

My 2nd ordered arrived today, first order still in transit. No box art, as MLW is still asking what I'm gonna do with 3 boxes with dog faces on them, two of them shown below.

Quick stuff, this is mostly to go in the road kit for running the dogs, bright handles so if (when) I drop something in the dirt, I can find it a little more easily. Adjustments for this rig, as I'm "not running" with them, or anywhere, anymore.
