Just got back home after a stopover in Chester on the way back.
The River Dee looks a little low.

I think Lucy might have wanted a bit of pork pie.

The reservoir has dropped a fair bit in the last fortnight.


You could barely walk past these trees last time i was there. The lower branches were just touching the water.

Its bound to.

Got the solar eclipse to look forward to this evening and for the first time ever the weather is actually looking decent.
Normally if theres any form of celestial event (meteor shower, eclipse, planetary alignment etc) then its either raining or theres full cloud.

Its forecast 31c (88f) today so got the dogs out early. It was still in the 20s when i got back though.

Last time I watch a eclipse think it was 1999 it was wonder full we was at a zoo and all the animals and birds went to bed and to sleep

Birds disappeared just before 7pm. Eerily quiet out there.
Bit boring looking at it through a pin hole camera.
Someone planted a couple of ****** trees just where the sun would be.

Makes interesting patterns on the house and road though.

Had a bit of a run about in the bug this afternoon.

Had some proper rain overnight and this morning. Not of this drizzle rubbish that virtually evaporates the minute it hits the ground.
Nothing like the rain Edinburgh got yesterday though.

Wouldn't bet against it. Also found a body in Lake Powell. Assuming DNA identification, could bring closure to relatives.

Back to being sunny and dry again. Few puddles left over from yesterdays rain but not enough to make the streams run again.

Theres been a couple 20 or 30 miles North but the biggest ones are around an hour away to the East.

Level is still dropping in the reservoir. Around an extra 3 or 4ft of shore is now visible.



Holly's favourite chew toys have surfaced though.
