The Toyota dealerships I used for years living in Saint Louis and now for the last three in New Mexico almost always have more or less 30% off list for online ordering snd counter pickup.

Good deal. This would be best for people who's local dealer doesn't discount parts....and the shipping is free over $75

@BlakeTheCarGuy Does your dealership give discounts on parts to the average Joe?

Pricing at certain dealerships in Houston is opaque at best. Toyotapartsdeal.com has been great but the shipping can kill any potential savings.

If you are 100% of what you need, search the part # in google, and cheaper dealers will show. I'm in Michigan, and all the dealers around me apparently line the parts in gold, as they are always Toyota prices, and won't even consider what other dealerships are selling for. So I make sure to have enough for free shipping, and order out of state as it also saves me taxes. The dealerships don't send enough out of state to have to collect tax...yet.

I just reread your post, and I had it backwards. You are lucky enough to have dealerships charging what seems more reasonable, same as the ones I order from. Either bend me over on service, or parts, but not both.
Ironically I called in yesterday for some cam shaft & crank seals. Right around $80 in parts. Hopefully they will honor the 25%, otherwise I may tell them to hold on to them for a rainy day, while I order online

Order from dealers outside of your state during these sales to save on the part initially & no taxes, *if* you have the time to wait, as they ship the parts to the dealer, then the dealer resends off to you. Not a quick process, especially if many are ordering during these sales.

I got this one yesterday from the dealer I use in Albuquerque. Might be a little better than their normal internet discount, but it's in the same range as what one can get everyday online from some dealerships, including American Toyota.

Not a chance lol. Our parts guys are commission and for them it’s all about the money. They do take care of us employees though.
