We are in the middle of switching ad networks and tuning everything on the fly. Unfortunately, that means you may occasionally see an ad where you shouldn't, or something else that looks a little out of whack.

I apologize for the mess. I'm working through the settings as quickly as I can and will get everything back to normal.

In the meantime, bear with me. There may be a little turbulence while I get the machinery sorted.

I'm thinking your new ad networks are messing with you, boss... Just so ya know... EVERY time I open a screen, or move to the next page or whatever... regardless of forum section... over and ver and over and....

I reject them (I don't need 315 new cookies per page I open!!) but yep, EVERY page now... regardless of section.
Adding to the report - each page is split up into 2 posts, a large space for ads (currently blank), 2 posts, space, etc etc.
Takes up a huge amount of real estate for what I am assumong will eventually be inserted ads.

I just got ads that I've seen other people complain about for the first time.. Glad it's something being dealt with!!

I don't mild ads that are imbedded in the page that scroll off the screen but the ones that take up space on the screen are annoying and the floating ones that hover over what you are trying to look at are even worse.

So thank you for dealing with it:beer:

Could this be why I now have to log in every time, I access the forums from my phone? I do have the little box checked.

Works the same as always from the notebook.

Thanks

In case this helps anyone else. I have my password saved so I am automatically logged in. I've been getting the annoying ads too. I just logged out, then logged back in and it looks much better. I saw one banner ad at the top, but not all the other ****.

It's been hit and miss for me. Saw ads earlier on my phone for the firs time, I'm on a normal computer now and don't have them.

What?? No Durian Icing Love here???

And I worked SO hard through my self induced Nasal blocade just to make it for you! Pikers. Bet you'd pass up on Malort Shots.

(and I'm one of the .00001% who actually LIKE Malort)

OK, seriously - has anyone here ever tasted that godawfully disgusting fruit called Durian? it has QUITE the following (with closepins on the nose, obviously) but the one time I tried it (I was doing chef school stuff) I almost lost my lunch, I can see how, if you were raised around it, it's ok,,, but for me? UGH!!

Speaking of odorifurous foods...My ex-neighbor (Miss ya, Anna!) was quite the connesuer of Limburger (or as she called it, "Stinky Cheese") and it's relatives - we used to have a 1/2 to 1 KG block shipped just for her Christmas,,,, along with the most potent red onions I could find. Another neighbor had a source of darkish Austrian Rye (she was southern German)... and she was in HEAVEN. Until I met her, I was like "Ugh, HOW???" but she made me a convert. Soul food for our people.

But you can keep that Durian. Who the hell smelled THAT and said "Yum, I want a HUNK of that rotten corpse smelling barf food"?? I've TRIED to work it into recipies once or twice, and Unh Unh... if it's smell makes ME vomit, well...

Maybe I could wash it down with shots of Jeppson's Finest. But even that is unlikely.....

My reaction to "ranch dressing" barf...(chicken/bacon/ranch pizza....puke yer gutz out, baby)

Am highly allergic to bait (crawdads, shrimps, crabs...etc)...now? If I even smell them cooking (and boy would I like some good soft shells)...??

I break out in hives....

And anything my neighbor's old lady makes? She can mess up Kraft Mac & Cheese!

There are now ads promoting the ad space for sale... This one floated at the bottom, scrolling with the screen on mobile Firefox.

Is there some dirty word filtering going on now?

For example:
The side of the fence was removed for the porch build and my thought was to use some of my old blocks to create a mini wall that the dirt (now pavers) would **** up against and then have the fence boards on that side start higher.(basically cut 1-2' off the bottom of that fence side we removed).

I hardly think the poster would self-censor "bu#t" in this context.

but, but, ****?

ETA:
but ... its filtered on display, editing the post shows the original text
