Steve Morris Racing, drag racer and engine builder, just released a video touring the Snap-on manufacturing plant in Milwaukee. Second part of the video is Indy car at I believe Milwaukee Mile.

Figured guys here might like to see some behind scenes of tool being made.

Maybe he'll tour the Tekton plant since he's pretty close. Muskegon to Grand Rapids is only 50 miles or so.

No, I'm pretty sure he means Tekton is in Grand Rapids Mi and SMR is in Muskegon,Mi.
Ah.

I had no idea SMR was in Muskegon, so that's what I was missing.

Would be interested to see what Tekton makes in GR, I know the bulk of their stuff is imported.

This is how you manufacture in America and still stay competitive. Nice clean factory, modern cold forging processes, and top-of-the-line machines. They blurred the name/model out for whatever reason, but many of the milling machines they were using were Brothers. They're very fast machines, perfect for automated and mass production.

Notes on what? There aren’t any secrets in the video, and HF isn’t going to be investing in any factories, they’re a reseller. They contract to factories in wherever they can get their brands made the absolute cheapest.
It's only a matter of time before HF will be gobbling up the factories if they haven't already done so.
