Tim Allen Signature Series Tools

I wanted to show an interesting tool set.

The case is well made with heavy fabric and fairly compact at 12x8x2" with an embroidered logo.


It will sit up on edge like a briefcase and has a flap closure with snaps.


The inside layout is very simple and a flap secures the tools. This set is missing one tool, a flashlight I believe.


The adjustable wrench is an 8" Spain Irega.


The slip joint pliers are 6-3/4" and USA made by I assume Wilde.


Basic retractable metal body utility knife.



Fiskars (Finland) scissors. Interesting curved and serrated blade. Heavy duty with a solid rivet.



12' tape measure is USA made. I think it may have been sourced from US Tape Co. This is secured to the case by clipping onto the nylon webbing holding the hammer and screwdrivers.


The hammer in this collection is particularly nice being a miniature framer sourced from Hart. It doesn't state the weight anywhere but the entire hammer comes in at 12oz. It's around 11" long.

It includes two screwdrivers, a #2 phillips and a 1/4" flat. These appear to be Western Forge USA production.


Anyone else ever seen or owned this set? I'd love to confirm which tool is missing.
Anyone have other tools from the signature line to share?

I actually bought an old DVD set last year because the box it comes in is like a toolbox and it came with a little Binford tape measure lol.

I'd love to find this set. Beautifully done. That said, the hammer is stupid. The last thing I want on a short handle is a stubby head. Great way to abrade your knuckles.

When I was looking, there were a few legit ones with the tape measure and then a sea of what I assume to be bootlegs.

The real ones have a spot in the lid of the box for the tape measure. Example here, you can see it in the pic with the lid open.

When I was a kid someone gave me a cheap set of Tim Allen branded tools. I think my dad still had the tape measure in his tool box.

The set in this thread is certainly much nicer.

I remember hearing about the Tim Allen tool stuff.

It looks like a nicely sourced collection of little every day tools which is nice. At first glance it looked like a typical set of cheap tools with someone's name slapped on it for publicity.

Seems like a nice quality set. Surprising, as I'd think this would be something someone would buy as a gift for a "tool guy". Any established tool guy would have all these already.

Being a collectable or display item, completely different story though.

Always wondered what tool brand Binford was a repaint of in the show. They worked in some episodes, so they must've been real tools done up.

Surprisingly decent stuff (final judgement reserved until price is known) for a gimmick tools set. Not sure how much framing could be done with that wee little hammer but it is pretty.
Saw TA @ the Monterey car week a few years back. He largely ignored his fans but was all in for an on camera interview.

Funny, the very first cordless drill I ever owned/bought was a Tim Allen Signature Tools branded drill. Got it in the late 90s, NiCad of course. Charged with a wallwart, battery had a barrel jack. I didn't get much use out of it, the battery didn't last very long but could have been my fault. Bought a Dewalt 18v XRP after that which I still have (batteries are dead now too of course).

I gave it to my buddy's dad (who owned the shop that I worked at). He still got use out of it, he would just leave it plugged in all day.
