Pistol Logo (markings on side and below on logo I can't makeout. Below is (possible) H,I or L 'AMME' then Possible I, R or L. Cant find example anywhere?
Possibly early AMMCO Automotive Maintenance Machinery Company according to Ai they used AMME before changing trademark. Founded in Chicago 1922 originally made aftermarket automotive hand tools for mechanics.
I put AMMCO AMME into google, it told me I was probably confusing a tool maker with a luxury bathtub maker.
Google books only had one hit that wasn’t Ammeter hyphenated as a line break, image below. Then I put in “Automotive Maintenance Machinery” Amme, and got similar results.
Found the maker from this random bit of advertising on the net, seems to be J.E. Bleckmann Pistol logo TD1886 with a Hammel stamp both trademarks of Bleckmann
