I have been looking for some welding blankets for a while now. Up here in Canada the range from $120.00 to $180.00 each for a 6'x6', 6'x8' or 8'x8'.
The other day I was in Port Huron so I stopped in at HF.
Can you imagine my surprise when I found out they were clearing out of all their canvas welding blankets. They will only be carrying the fiberglass ones from now on.

They were on sale at:shocking: 6'x6' for $3.97 & 6'x8' for $5.67:shocking:
I picked up all they had... 10 6'x6' & 1 6'x8' for a grand total of :shocking:$45.37 for 11 welding blankets:shocking:

What are you going to do with 11 welding blankets?

Even if they were free, I'd only pick up two at most.

I picked up one a while back. The other sizes were still listed at the regular price.

The blankets seem to "shed". It worked as designed though. Protected my buddy's leather interior while I welded on his door panel.

I picked up all they had because I will be making a "curtain" of sorts. Kind of like what you see at a hospital around a bed in a ward. I'm planning on doing all my welding, cutting, & grinding in this curtained off area. My hopes are to keep fire issues close to eliminated & the mess in a confined area. Whatever I have left if any I will sell of & easily get all my costs back.
I will post picks when I get it done.

They do kinda work. Spatter will however burn through these HF blankets if placed on a flat surface like the floor.
