My 2008 JD 2320. I have right around 300' of driveway to clear. I'd rather have a blower or at least a plow over the bucket but, alas, I spent too much on other shenanigans this year so I'll have to make do.

Here's mine... just used it this morning... The back-up is a Craftsman lawn tractor with a plow and it's back up is a 24" Craftsman tracked snowblower and it's back up is me, the better half and two snow shovels... :shocking: Here's the rig when I was pushing 31" of snow.

This is my JD snow crew. I like vintage equipment. I used the blower 3x last year and the 4 way blade twice. And that's it. Hardly any snow most years here in the banana belt of southern Ontario.

This rig works amazingly well. It's a 46" snowthrower, a Cozy cab and a 1978 JD 400. I have 400 lbs of cast iron weight out back, the cab weighs 200 lbs and I'm about 180. I have 2 link chains on the tires too.

I did a complete restoration on this 1981 JD 400 and Brantly loader. The rear wheel weights and ballast box aren't on it in the pic. Fun to operate but not big enough to accomplish a lot.

400_1_large.jpg

I replaced/rebuilt everything on this 1975 JD 400. all I have left to do now is the paint. I have a pallet with 24x24 cement patios stones stacked on it for rear ballast. I usually have 250 lbs or so on it but I can easily go up to 500 lbs by tossing more stones on it.

Probably get deleted, but.....
Wow. Those are two rather attractive carbon-based species propagation units, that one would have to characterize as being a couple of standard deviations above average on the Ocular Impact Scale. But, do they hunt? That is the Big Question.

I bought a John Deere 1332PE Pro yesterday. No pics of it yet. Expensive, but well built and it should serve me well in the snow clearing aspect of my business. I cleared 17 driveways today and it never missed a beat.

I was in South Carolina when it snowed... -Funniest scene ever with ALL the people driving 5MPH on the shoulder. Just because of barely discernible, ~2' diameter, white patches every 100 yards or so on the road. They thought I was nuts for going 55 in the totally clear left lane.

I'd post a pic, but seriously doubt you'd want to see pictures, its a 40-ish inch long piece of 16" wide siding fastened to a 4 ft 2x4 at right angles with a 1/2 dozen screws. It works well with lighter snows as it clears the drive in half the time it takes using a regular snow shovel.

These are the most impressive ones I have seen

This is just bulling your way through

This what happens when you try to bull your way though when you shouldn’t

This is the first of 5 on getting it unstuck.

I believe it's a 97. I can honestly say it looked UNUSED when my in-laws bought it for me at an estate sale a year and a half ago.

Last year we had a record snowfall, getting 22" in 24 hours. (NE Ohio, below the snow belt). I had cleared 6" off the night before, when I came out in the morning there was 16" on the driveway. The snowblower "mouth" just cleared the height of the snow, and in low gear, it cleared the drive with no problems.

I think the auger belt is loose though. Doesn't throw the snow very far at all. I bought a new belt, I guess we'll see how difficult it is to change.

Here's a pic of my new JD blower...

And one of my Craftsman. The Craftsman 27" is my backup blower. It's a good machine but it can't hold up to the kind of work I do.

1977 - I was in western NC when they got a "blizzard" - all of a few inches - same scene as above - people all freaked out. Our family, being from central PA prior to that, thought those people where nuts. My oldest brother was 16 / 17 and drove his own school bus the rest of the way to school when the driver freaked out and bailed on 'em in the middle of the route!!

Bring on the snow! Well actually, it is snowing now. Bring on MORE snow!
My main gear: A John Deere 445 with a 48", 2 stage snow blower attached. I also have a 47" blade but rarely use that as my wife likes to run the snow blower.:shocking: This thing will easily put my snow in my neighbor's driveway. I don't do that too often because then I have to blow it again when I clean their driveway.

How does the blower operate? Is it totally off of the hydraulic lines or is it pto driven too? I have a 425 with the same front lift and 54" plow.

It runs off of the PTO. Blowers come with a long shaft and a front bracket that has a bearing in it for support. The 4 lines control lift and chute direction. My 425 is pictured a few posts back. Ive also got a blower but its a single stage not the two stage . Works well for the snow I get. Also the blowers hook up to the same frame that the blade uses so you dont need another frame.
