I'm looking to buy a half a dozen or a dozen traditional 4-in-1 type screwdrivers, custom marked with text of my choosing. This is the style of screwdriver I'm looking for: http://www.amazon.com/Inc-Screwdriver-Slotted-Phillips-Reversible/dp/B0000YHN8S USA-made would be great. My grandpa, who passed away a few years ago, was famous for having always having this type of screwdriver, and also famous for a few humorous phrases, one of which I intend to have printed on the screwdrivers--I'd like to give these out as christmas gifts to my family. Any help would be most appreciated.

I think you can just buy them off amazon and take them to a local things remembered, or a logo shop and they should be able to personalize them without much issue.

Home Depot carries a Buck 5 in 1, for $2.97. It is made in the USA and handle is orange and resembles a Snap On. It meets or exceeds ANSI standards. I don't think you can go wrong with this screwdriver.

I have to wonder if half of the people who posted in this thread actually read what the OP said he wanted? I agree with what the poster above said about ACE hardware. Mine always has them in stock for like $4 each.

I think what you want to do is a fantastic idea to honor your Grandpa.
Whenever family members see one of those screwdrivers, even years from now it will bring back fond memories.

That's a nice idea, and good luck. Hope you get them in time for Christmas.
By the way, I clicked on the link that you had. I was surprised to see a picture of a 4 in 1 screwdriver that seemed identical to the two that I bought about 21 years ago. I still have them, and use them frequently, but I thought the manufacturer had disappeared. I wonder if someone had bought their tooling and molds.
My screwdrivers were made by a company in Jamestown, NY. I'm not near my tools right now, but I think the name of the company was "4 in 1".
Enderes makes a similar product, but I always liked the ones made in Jamestown better, probably because I was from NY.

Update... I'm scrambling, trying to finish the semester, and to get this, and many other things in place before Christmas. Upon further research, the traditional 4-in-1 screwdriver, as shown with the Amazon link, is manufactured by BWT Inc. (Best Way Tools), which appears to be out of NY. It appears to be identical to the ones my grandpa had. Probably one of the many small tool manufacturers, sort of flying under the radar. I found a phone number, but seriously doubt they will do a custom order of a dozen screwdriver. Which raises the question...

Does anyone know what Things Remembered charges for such work? I hope they're somewhat reasonable. Assuming they use a laser or a mechanical engraver, any ideas on how to best "ink" it white, to make the letters pop out?
