8/12. Fun times shingling that roof....

With a Storage truss design to give a little more storage space up there. Right now I have 6 sheets of 3/4" ply on top of the trusses. Bottom chord of the trusses are 2x6 and reinforced in the middle where they were factory pressed.

This is the first thing I have ever built out of wood. I am a Steamfitter/Pipefitter by trade. So I am basically learning lots as I go. Trying to do the best I can. Hopefully have the siding on tomorrow weather permitting.

Awesome space you got there. Too bad for that pretty green grass!

The whole yard is pretty much a disaster rite now. In the spring there will be some new siding for the house and sill repair so the yard will need to wait until then.

What's the deal with the bucket on the tractor? It looks like a clamshell bucket but the upper hydraulics look like they just tip the top of the bucket front to back and I don't see what operated the clamshell portion.

And yes, it is a shame having to tear up that green lawn :shocking:

Not my tractor so I am not 100% sure. To me it looks like he just has some lifting forks to pick up pallets or the like tilted back and out of the way.

8/12! Better you than me! I reshingled my old garage this fall which was 6/12. That was more than enough of a slope for my liking. :wtf:

I wanted to go 12/12 on my new shop to match our house and give me attic storage but the cost was too much, plus I'd have had to fight with the town for a height variance.
