I am so confused

OK, prior to doing any homework and visiting this site I was going to go with epoxy from Home Depot. But now that I have become more educated (thanks to this site) I was at the point to go with por-15. But I saw the floor that was done with epoxy-coat and it looks great. I also had looked at the u-coat-it.

So help!!!!!! I have a 22X24 2 car garage and gets daily in/out use and I also have a kwik-lift for my vette.

I am thinking of doing the epoxy-coat but do not want it to turn into a 3 month project. My floor is in good shape and will need only minor prep.

Feedback please!!!!!!

I hate to say it but asking for advice on epoxy is like asking for advice on car wax. Lots of good products, lots of opinions. Do some more research on this site but for light duty use the water based products from the big box stores will work fine with proper prep. For more durable (and expensive) epoxy floors look for 100% solids solvent based epoxy.

Chris, thanks, I have read all the current post and I was just about ready to pull the trigger on Por-15, but I saw the pictures of an epoxy-coat project and thought wow, that is what I was looking to do. The thing that caught my attention about the epoxy-coat vs Por-15 was the epoxy-coat was a 1 coat process vs Por-15 being 3 coats and maybe a 4th if I did two clear coats.

The pictures of the epoxy-coat project showed a nice high gloss shine which is exactly what I am looking for.

So I am in a delema. I have half of my garage painted (gray on the bottom, white on the top and ared stripe in the middle) and wanted to do half the floor before I moved everything over to do the other half. HELP!!!!!

One Way You Could Look At ur project choice is by care whats going to be easier to care for or repair.If POR-15 starts to flake or chip in 5-10 years all you will have to do is a small touch up and the paint blends in (Not saying that por-15 will chip or flake just example).I dont know if youve ever used any of our other products but if you get drips on the floor they dont come off but now this floor armor is specially designed to go on floors imagine the bond it must have. With an epoxxy coating there is less to do when appling but will it hold up to oil grease,tools and dragging stuff across it, and how easy is it to repair there are really lots to consider when there are so many options to choose From.
